Had to post this... just returned from the Fasig-Tipton November Selected Sale in Lexington.

Fox news and TVG (Horse racing channel) were setting up a live feed.

Smarty Jones's dam (mother) was being auctioned off. She is in foal by Elusive Quality (Smarty Jones's sire). So the foal will be a FULL sibling to Smarty Jones.

The horse (I'll Get Along) sold for FIVE MILLION DOLLARS.

the new born will be here in April - remember the name when it's announced...

I look for another Smarty fast pace at Churchill Downs in about three years !

 

The Keenland fall yearling sale starts this week so I guess some pretty big spenders are in town.
