Hi gang I'm Andy from Italy.

I am 36 i start in 1989 and now I have a salon in Milan..

How is the situation all around the world? Here is hard too many taxes and no staff available.. Anybody want to come in Italy? Or anybody need an Italian stylist?? ;-))

it is very slow here also Andy, I have been thinking of getting a part time "real" job..lol  I dont consider doing hair a job its fun to me.  I just keep hanging in there every month hoping things will pick back up..been using the think positive way that was posted here on the board a while ago.

Good to hear from you ...andy , like tanya said just think postive and miricals can happen ..andy hard to chat on msn since our hours are different i'm sleeping your working.. lol ..but italy sounds so nice ..enjoyed the chat we do have.. hope you can share more with the group.. if you can post some of your work so we all can enjoy italys best.. as for work ..i'm holding well because i say so..lol remember to ask for peace in the world and be thankfull for all you have..  life is that simple.. belive it feel it live it.. thank your higher power and don't be afraid to ask for what you want..it's not wishfull thinking ..make it real we all have habits so they might as well me good ones.. greet each day with love it your heart and take that last client who wants that  late appointment...lol  write your daily totals you want to make each working day ..  think of clients that have not been in  the salon for a while  visionulize them calling  for an appointment .. live as if you have enough money don't ever say you can't afford that whatever it is.. because u'll go thorugh life  never able to afford  anything ..  remeber what you resists presists ... never say you have an illnesss ..  by doing so you give the power to your illness ..say i'm bigger then my illnesss i have it ..it doesn't have me.. this way your in control  .. last thought ... our thoughts  have energy ( all things do)energy never dies ..so think good thoughts  your higher power will recived them and bring them to you.. thoughts become things so think good thoughts.. The problem is not that, I always think positive, I love dreaming a successful future for my business, i have 1000 different ideas everyday, but this is not enough..!!!

Most of the hairdressers in the world work with heart, soul and passion becouse we love our work, but it's not enough, in 2008 we have to change something in our way to work it should be a long and difficult topic to explain..

Here in Italy it's impossible work normaly... we need months for have just 1 fuc*** documents, pay more than 40% taxes, we can't have self employed it's forbidden.. we have to pay staff in the same way if he/she works or not doesn't matter u have to pay!! school are old and all the young guy go to england or some other place, there are 1000 salon who ask for stylist and just 10 stylist who want work.. and during interview, they just care how much money own, how many hours work and when go for holidays nobody care grow up in the business.. we have just 1 positive thing: creation, fantasy and style... !! But this is just because we are Italian.. we have it inside our blood!!!

Anyway sorry for this mail but this is the reason because this group exsists...

hi andy ... my boss says there might be a way for you to visit usa  and work in a solon ..perhaps like a teacher or student exchange program.. be cool to hear that thick accent of yours like in how you write.. lol just kidding.. i too have it in my blood .. i will let you know more  and if anyone out there knows how we can have andy visit us in a salon please post ... thanks  drew
