Well, I made it through the first week of cosmetology school. We're learning about skin and what its purpose is. We'll be doing facials next week. We're also learning shampoos and how to shampoo. I never knew there was an appropriate way of draping someone with a towel and then the bib thing, then another towel. NYS anyway.

One thing I noticed though, being the only male in cosmo school, its certainly noisy. After the assignment is read and questions written on the board, we're told to work on the segment, and the instructor steps out. The girls start to chitchatting. The class is mixed, its not all just new comers, but mixed in with those that have been there for a couple of months already. So we're all on the same page with this section. Anyway...its hard reading and answering the questions while the girls are loudly chitchatting. I wasn't going to be the only male, there was another but he switched his schedule.

That sounds alot like when I went to school. I never drape clients that way now, I just wrap a towel around the back of the neck. Congratulations on getting through your first week!
