We are now learning perm rods and how to place them or roll them or whatever. I have to say its not as easy as it looks. |

Yeah, I remember that! I fumbled with them, and it took over an hour to wrap it. GRRR Practice makes perfect, and it now takes 30 mins tops. Keep at it! |

Perms are my down fall, I too am in school though only part time. I go 4hrs a day 4 days a week. It takes me about an 1 1/2 hrs to roll a straight back perm. that is with a lot of practice, we are required to roll like 10-12 per month or so, I believe. I don't have my paper in front of me. So that would be like 3 a week for me, ick. I just recently got back on the "floor" I had to retest b/c I took the summer off. It took me forever b/c of the perms and I was absent quite a bit. I hate them and will for sure not be doing them when I get out in the real world!!!! Bleh.

Don't write off the perms just yet!!! I have to admit they aren't my favorite either but I will do them for some clients. Its nice to have everything to offer for your clients especially when times are slow. The more services you limit yourself to the more you limit yourself of possibilites with new clients and your wallet as well. |

I agree! Perms aren't my favorite either, but I'm glad to be the one that a perm client has to go to when everyone else refuses. It's the highest ticket sale. They could also bring in new clients as well. |
