I just finally hired two new girls and am learning the payroll game... I do only pay commision no hourly...but they are still my empl. I have H&R Block run my payroll it only costs me 60$ a month paying weekly and 100$ for my quarterlies...Now because I do pay thier taxes they are my empl.and do have to work a fixed schedule..if you are paid commision and there are no payroll taxes done for you and you are basicly paid cash , you are considered an independent and they do not have the authority to tell you a work schedule..it is very tricky and if you don't know all the facts you can really get the shaft!! I didn't know all of this on my first job out of school and go hosed!!! Just make sure you do your homework because ultimatley you are the one responsible. Hope this helps... |
