M'kay you guys, I have seldom been able to master perfectly an absolutely white hair color, even with a powerful bleach and 40v developer and then a toner of Shades EQ Plat. Ice over the top. I just know there is a secret weapon out there. What's yours? Thanky! |

It seldom is possible. Sometimes it takes up to 3 attempts to get the white blond. Usually the white is a result of damage. I used to be obessesed with making my hair white until it started falling out. I am interested in other stylist's favorite product lines too! |

it's been my experiance that the only easy way is if the natural base is a level 8 or higher. then your not trying to cut through all the deep red tones that make it so difficult to lift. I like v-lite from matrix or the hi-lift blondes from chi. the chi hi-lift blondes are actually formulated for dark hair. i would try those if you haven't yet. |

Hey guys- I usually try to talk them into a honey blonde if they are darker than a level 7-but I can usually get pretty good results with highlighting to a pale yellow-then toning with Redken Shades equal parts 9v and 9g! Tamara |

I have a few clients that love that platinum blonde look. I hate to say it but for myself the tricks are always different just depending on their hair and what they seem to pull more of. One of my clients tho is a level 4 and pulls sooo much red I can usually get her down to about an 8 or 9 with bleach and 40 vol...and from there I just use one of my permant colours on her to tone 10V (goldwell) with either 10 or 20 volume. always turns out great. |

I have a client who loves the lightest ash blonde I can get her. She is almost white with no gold. Her natural level is a 5 and i bleach her to pale yellow and tone her with socolor 10B and 10A. Not a combination i would usually use on someone, but it seems to work for her. Pretty much eliminates any gold that might be hiding on us. I dont know if this will work for you, but it's what I do. |

Very good-in toning as in color you must
remember balance…..porous hair accepts ash…..normal hair accepts
warmth…..that is a good combo-I see stylists all the time toning with straight
shades 9v/…you must have the 9g to balance in the bowl……
