tthis is for anyone that can help me......how do you lift the grey without the rest of the hair turning out to be darker.  the grey ends up lighter than the rest of the hair, so you have to darken the entire head,  what should i do.  we use matrix socolor, colorsync and kaleidocolors.  also, the client wants to go lighter or highlights throughout.......please help!

What's the % of grey and natural level? I'm assuming that you're saying that the % is low, such as only at the temples or different parts of her hair. It's natural that the grey is going to appear lighter, because it's void of pigment and only needs deposit, where the darker parts have to lift through different stages to get lighter. My solution would be to mix two formulas. Formulate at a higher volume such as 30 or 40 vol developer at the darker areas, even if some grey is present, and use the 50 series with 20 vol developer where she is 50% or more grey. This is just a guess about what you were trying to ask, correct me if I'm way off base.

Im going to try this for sure. Some clients pull evenly but there are a few of my pure white clients that im having some trouble with. there always seems to me a line no matter how carefully i apply the roots.

They tell me it fades after a couple of washes and it doesnt concern them but it concerns me.
