It has been my expeirence (HAVING 3 KIDS OF MY OWN) AND Also arguing with my OB That color does not hurt the baby ....
That ANY COLOR SERVICE IS OK TO do on pregnant women if it is off the scalp (such as full head foil hilights) but on scalp color any type of professional semi permanant color can be used at anytime... such as color sync (Matrix) or SHADES EQ (REDKEN) ECT. Anyhow... Me personally if they have been preg more than once I will preform a on scalp one process color with ammonia after the first trimester... and first time moms.. are the ones I am more leary of preforming color or any chemical services on at any time during their pregnancy..
But in any case.. My doctor has told me in the first trimester it is dangerous cause he states that "When color is applied to the scalp it absorbs into the skin and could cause development damage within the first trimester " He says after the first trimester any mom should be clear to to any chemical service but like I said I question that in first time moms... If they have been pregnant more than once... There body has already gone through those types of hormonal changes and chances are that it would'nt affect the hair...
personally I have never encountered any issues with color treating pregnant moms.
