I have this weekly client I have been doingfor almost 8 years now she is in her 70's and she is the most selfish, negative person I have ever delt with. I've been doing hair for 17 years, and that should say something.  What happens is I really want to fire her in a bad way but I'm in the process of re-building a clientel. So I need her money! She has to bring in her own curling Irons because I don't have one that is 5/8inch. The other day I bumped it out of the holder and it fell on the floor and the tip broke, because this is a $7.00 iron from Sally's I told her to glue it with the super glue or I could just use it with out a tip! She had a fit telling me that it was broke and she couldn't use it that way. She has another set at home but she couldn't use that one. I tried glueing it twice and of course it didn't work. So I told her I would buy her another with my discount I got the stupid thing for $5.00!!!!!! I'm just so irritated that I had to go buy a new one because the damn tip was broke and it was $7.00 her cost!!!  I wouldn't be so irritated about this except I didn't do it on purpose and she acted as if I had and I've been doing her hair for more years than I like! I know for a fact that she could afford to buy a new one her self. I was seriously considering bodily harm!!!!

OMG! I'm cracking up here! You know, I always say, when you lose a client, another one will just as easily take their place. I'm not saying to fire her, but I am saying the money isn't always worth the aggravation. I have a few pains myself, and what I do is just smile the whole time, and then forget about it when they leave. What you could also do is not be as accomodating as you are to this one, your peace of mind is much more important!
