I think we have all have a heck of a time lately. I am an assistant manager. Long story short, My boss was off on Thursday and I worked my regular shift Starting at 730am.I was almost ready to leave at 330pm when our night receptionist called and said she didn't think she would come in.  I asked what was the matter and she replied that she just didn't feel that well and would not come in!!! Well I covered her shift. My boss who was off because she had major dental work called and said she would come in and I told her that was rediculous I was already here don't come in. I can't believe how some employees don't think about how they disrupt peoples lives. I got home that night around 10pm and I was back at work at 730am the next morning.
Had a day off today and slept off and on all day. Hope this week is better for all of us.

That is the biggest problem I have-employees not caring that they disrupt people's lives. How many times have I dragged myself to work when I didn't feel good, or didn't feel like it? Not only does it make it difficult for the other employees to work, but also for the customers. They know your schedule, and when you're not there they begin to feel they can't depend on you. Once in a while is fine, but when you are hardly ever there when they want to come in, the fact is you will lose them. They are how we make our money, and without them we have nothing. Then they complain when their paycheck sucks! Gee, I wonder why. I'm looking forward to my first day off all week tomorrow. I hope our week gets better too.
