Why must we have SUCH BIG DRAMA QUEENS IN OUR INDUSTRY ALL THE TIME????

I just recently transfered salon locations within the company I work for to get away from drama... Little Did I know it was to land in to MORE DRAMA....

I have only been at the new location 4 days.. THE ASST. MANGR.. Has already fussed at a girl ON THE FLOOR... Because SHE WAS 3 HRS LATE.... Our boss failed to communicate with her that this girl that came in late had a dr. appt. or something... OMG... WHY DOES CRAP HAVE TO COME OUT IN FRONT OF THE CLIENTS... DON'T THEY REALIZE HOW MUCH THEY HURT OUR BUISNESS!!!! ARG!!!!!!!!!

I have already heard from all my co workers.. HOW THEY HATE MY MANAGER... And I have never met the women.... she is on vacation for 2 wks.... WHAT IN THE HECK???? Even the asst. HAS VENTED TO ME ABOUT THE MAIN MANAGER AT THE SALON.... It is just nuts... I think I am realizing the only REAL WAY TO MAKE IT IN OUR INDUSTRY IS STAY TO YOUR SELF... DON'T MAKE FRIENDS.. OK SURE CARE ABOUT THEM.... BUT DON'T BE TO CLOSE AND KEEP YA GUARD UP....
Just focus ON CLIENTS... GO HOME... THAT IT!!!!

NE ONE ELSE HAVE SIMILAR DRAMA OR IS IT JUST THE SALONS I HAVE GONE TO????
I HATE IT WITH ALL MY HEART.. I HATE PPL THAT PUT OUT A BAD REP FOR THOSE OF US THAT REALLY HAVE A TRUE PASSION FOR OUR FIELD....
ARGGGGGGGGG!!! I WISH SOME OF THEM WOULD JUST RETIRE AND REALLY FIND A JOB THEY LOVE.. INSTEAD OF MAKING THOSE OF US THAT LOVE WHAT WE DO MISRABLE!!!!!!!

~ HUGS~
Guess I am just gonna ride out the situation.. I PRAY I STAY CLEAR OF BEING CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE!!!!!

I have worked at two other salons. Each time it was just me and the owner.

DRAMA is the name of the game with some people im sorry to report. Both of these women made EVERYTHING ALL ABOUT THEM.

For years my clients asked me to open my own place.

Well I was fired in February and I have opened my own place. I urge you to build a clientele and get the heck out on your own.

I am 44 years old and have been doing hair for about 12 years by the way.

I dont need drama at my age.

ohh and I forgot to add that I live in a very small town. The owner that fired me recently had to close her shop down. I have over 200 clients coming to my home. That was way more than when i worked for her. There are people coming to see me that didnt like the owner and were waiting until i went out on my own.

She is spreading around that i left her and planned to leave her for years. Well the people that know me know better.

Escape the drama now.

I'm sorry to hear about that Leslie, I know you were looking forward to the new location. I believe you're right, it's better to keep to yourself, make your money and go home. That was what I learned from my experiences that I talked about in the other "salon drama" thread.

Donna, now that you have over 200 clients, have you ever thought of opening a store? Now's a great time since your ex-boss's shop closed. Hire a staff, and let the money work for you. You will have total control over everthing and everyone! Just something to consider.

All in good time Amy. I will work from my home for a couple of years and when the time is right i will set up downtown. At the moment the downtown where i live is a dump. I want to wait until it improves a bit.

My dream is to hire some good people and quit doing hair...just gonna collect the money.
