I work in a salon where the manager brings her dog with her and it has to great everyone and beg for attention. I have some clients that don't like dogs and it is very uncomfortable and just not a place for animals, Right? If the state board came in the salon would be fined, which i hope happens! I have spoken to her and she doesn't get it, she thinks I just dont like the dog and no one else said anything to her about it.. what do you think?

I don't think a salon is a place for dogs. The clients could trip or the dog could get injured. And  not all ppl like dogs, hope she realizes that soon for your sake.
good luck!

I agree, the dog shouldn't be in the salon, it isn't sanitary.

Where I used to work the owner brought her dog in. It was a very misbehaved dog because she didnt put the effort into training it. Not everyone liked the dog.

I have a salon in my home and I have a dog. If someone doesnt like my dog i put her in another room and close the door to my salon. Fortunately for me EVERYONE loves my Roxy.

Thank you!!! I love her so much. Lots of clients bring her treats and well...she is starting to get a little chubby..I have to put a stop to it.

Thats an easy one. Call the State Board and place an "anonomous" complaint saying the dog is there all the time. The State Board will come in and the manager will be fined and that will probably end her bringing the dog in. It is against the law.

Thanks for the input. I left the salon 2 weeks ago and I am a lot happier at the new place and so are my clients. It was not just the dog, the one women there was too loud and talked too much. theres more to it but I wont go into it.
