I have been a booth renter for 16 years I have been in only two places as a renter The first one i stayed 14 years until the owners closed.   Because i rent the feeling to move is not so great becuse we know it is really are own business to grow or stanet. Before i started renting i moved almost every two or three years.  If there is a walk-in that there are few. new cleint  go to are only commishing person. than we get it, but we have to pay 50 % to the owner. I feel this is a bit steep consering that i have already paid to be there that day. But i feel that thay put out mony to mantain the shop it is ok that thay get a slice of the pie,also  i agreed to this % when i sigh my rent agreement that is how it is. This is the frist time i had to pay a commishen for a walk in.  Atlest the owners do not count referals from others in the shop or are own client referals. I pay 205 a week and in almost all of the both renting salon in my area go from 194 to 300 a week.  If you need a sounding bord from a renter position just ask .
