Ok....I've had a woman come into my chair 3 times now. she came from a previous salon with a problem of overlapped color/or bleach and a break point of 3 inches from the hair shaft. Her roots were 2 inches of level 6 ORANGE...she was pregnant, and all she wanted was to get back to a level 8 blonde, with various highlights. So...keeping all this in mind, I tackeled the orange issure and attempted to "refreshen" her ends. I noticed after using a G in the Colorance in Goldwell on her ends she turned Green, her roots never accepted any color, and for the next few visits the same issue got seemingly worse. Her roots NEVER did anything but turn orange, her broken ends only turned more green inbetween visits. The last time I saw her, I asked her if she had been in any pools, hot tubs, or if she had copper pipes and maybe the chlorine in the tap water was reacting with her damaged hair, turning it green. No,no,no she said, and after suggesting she do a chlorine treatment with Malibu she said no and refused to cut the damaged ends, and her roots refused to be anything but orange. Has anyone ever seen anything like this??? Hair that refuses to color properly, green damaged ends?...I've noticed chemical chages like this in pregnant women before and even chemotherapy patients....but Never like this....If any one has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it....I'm stumpped!!!
