Moving salons sucks! I have done my fair share of it myself. Its really hard when you get into a place and in a short time, you decide you don't like it. Then you are stuck there or have to move again. The one thing I have done is to book my own appointments. I have a cell phone just for my clients and I don't move to any salon I can't book my own appts. It REALLY helps when you move and makes keeping all your clients easy. I've lost clients moving cause the receptionist doesn't tell them where I've been or convinces them to come to a stylist there first. So my cell phone is perfect. My clients know that I don't answer while working on someone, but take breaks between to return calls. My voice mail states that too. They don't mind and prefer booking directly with me as I can find spots for them a receptionist never found. (ie: stay late, come in early or a spot I see I can put someone between 2 other clients easily, etc.) Good luck to you. Its no fun moving salons.
