HOW TO ADD A PICTURE OR ATTACHMENT TO YOUR POST
To add a picture: See the little postcard below the word "style'? It has a little sun & mountain on it?
Click on the postcard... this opens a new window. Click on My Computer, then on Browse. Navigate to the folder where you have your picture stored on your computer (Example: My Pictures within the Documents Folder) Locate the picture, and now click 'Open'. Next click on 'Add Photo". Your picture will now apply inserted in your post. Note: IF the picture is too large, you will have to re-size it before you can insert it.
To attach a file: See the paperclip with the words 'Atach a file'? Click on it. Now click on 'Browse'.
Navigate to where you have the picture or document that you wish to attach to your post. Next, click on 'Open', and then on 'Attach this File'. Now you will see an X with the file name next to it. The file is now attached to your post and can be open by clicking on it.
HOW TO INSERT A LINK
Look again at the toolbar in the posting window. See the little ‘earth with the sunglasses�? Click on it to open the window: Here you have two choices: You can either insert a web address of existing pages, (scroll through the list: (Example: FONT>
Sir Edison) OR you can simply type in the URL for a web page that you want to link. Click on ‘insert�? The link or web page will now show in your post window. When a Member reads your post, they can click on the link and go to that link.
How to resize a PictureThere are a number of different ways to re-size a picture.
Within a post window: If you have already inserted the picture in your post, before you Send it, you can re-size the picture by dragging on the 'handles' that are on each side of the picture. You may have to play with it abit to keep the proportions right.
Using your Paint Program: (under accessories) Open Paint Program. Click on File, then click on Open. Navigate to where you have the picture stored. Click on the picture, then click on Open.
The picture is now in the window. Click on 'Image', then click on 'Stretch/Skew'. You want to change the horizontal AND the vertical to a lesser size. I prefer 25%. Make sure you change in both, then click 'OK'. The smaller picture is now in the window. You want to then SAVE this new,smaller size with a NEW name. Click on File, then 'Save as', give the new picture a name, and click 'Save'.
