LadyBug is 3 yrs and has been fixed for over a year now.  We just got her back from the groomers and she won't stop scrathing.  The groomer says we aren't feeding her the right diet.  But we have been feeding her stickly Science Diet for Senitive Skin since she was a puppy told to do so by our vet.  We don't give her table scraps, just a hand full of grated cheese with her food and now and then some scrambled eggs.   The groomer said she has had sores both times have brought her in.   I think she has cut her too short.

Her little belly is all red and hot.  Any idea of what may be causing this.  I'm ready to call the vet.  And no she doesn't have any flea's we are very careful of that one.

I don't know anything but as a layman like you I'm thinkning 'burn' too.  I remember when I  use to do my Sch. and he was so good I'd do him way too close and it would cause that.

I've never heard of the cheese thing?

try a hypoallengic food like nutro...do you have ants there as they bite ....try sprinkling of a antibacterial powder on the tummy rub well in not too much if there is any open sores this will dry them up...also have you checked her ears as if she has a little infection in her ears when she scratches them it will transfer onto her feet and when she scratches anywhere else it will transfer again...it could be razor burn again the powder will cool it ...try a sulfer block in her water bowl that will cool her blood and stop itching...

Hi Judy and LadyBug,

I have seen a couple is instances like this and my Ling-Ling had burn on her behind when the groomer shaved too close. I have found a fabulous product for just this type of skin condition. It is also great for any other type of rashes. It is Neem. They have it in a shampoo, a spray and a capsule. It soothes and treats the skin. It also kill fleas and other parasites when taken internally. I just sprayed some on Ling-Ling and in a day or two it was all healed up. You can probably find it at your local health food store or go to Organix South website.

Good luck with that,
Cathy and Ling-Ling
