Q. Can I use the tag backs to make siggy's for my group members?
You may use the tagbacks to create a personal tag for yourself; to be used in GILD or any other group you belong to. You may not use the tagbacks to create tags for members outside of GILD.You may not share these tagbacks with any other groups or individuals other than GILD and its members.
Q. I'm having computer problems, 3d Life situations etc, will I be unsubbed if I do not post?
No, we will not unsub anyone who is inactive, this is not a participation required group.. we realize that situations arise in people's lives that prevent them from coming in. Have no worries.. you will have a place when you return! Just get fixed, get well, and take care of your families!
Q. What size is 5" on it's longest side?
5"s equals 360 pixels ....
Turn on your rulers in psp is the best option .. Below is the "help" for PSP 8
To display or hide rulers:Choose View > Rulers or press Ctrl + Alt + R.
To change ruler units and colors:
Choose File > Preferences > General Program Preferences.
Click the Units tab.
In the Display units drop-down list, select Pixels, Inches, or Centimeters.
Choose the ruler color by selecting either Black on white or Toolbar colors.
Click OK.
Q. Are we allowed to share tubes with others with a license?
No .. Images may be tubed for PERSONAL use only. No sharing with others is allowed ...this is not a tube sharing group. You are not even supposed to share them with others outside the group either, even with other license holders. Doing so would be grounds for termination of your licenses.
Q. Once we have access to the images, with our license are we going to be allowed to offer tag/siggies for other members in our groups who do not carry a license? Could they Special Request from me knowing that I carry the license?
YES you CAN make tags for those who don't hold a license... YES they CAN use them... All that is required is that you have the necessary info on the tag.. YOUR license #, the artist's copyright, and a watermark showing you are the creator of the tag. NO you don't have to put a link to the artists, but they appreciate it if you can and do.
Q. I belong to a few tube groups and who should we notify if we see one of the GILD artists work come thru? I have sent messages before but get ignored by those sending them. Should we just ignore it or bring it to someone elses attention?
All illegal use of Artist's/International Illustrator, LLC images should be reported to [email protected].
Q. I have sent emails to the legal department of II/GILD about violators and © abuse to GILD artists, but no one has replied back to me nor have I seen any actions taken against the violators. Are we just getting ignored when we send in reports?
No. Your reports are not being ignored. There has to be documented proof of violations, correspondence and any actions taken. This sometimes takes a bit of time. If you know of a violation and go to report it you should attach screen shots or some type of proof as well as URL's and ANY correspondence. As this is a sensitive subject and should be dealt within the highest degree of confidentiality, all of this should be done in private. No finger pointing, public announcements and flaming should be involved in this type of area. There are many avenues that have to be crossed to handle violations legally and most of those will never be seen in the public view. Please do not post in the GILD groups URL's, group names, group manager or member names or even mention violators in any way in this group. It is a private matter and if you wish to report you should do so privately.
Q. I posted but it never showed or my post was deleted...why?
There are different varying factors which could've led towards the deletion of your post. These include:
Not following images TOU, unreadable license number on the tag itself, unmarked copyright tag, flaming or harassing of others...yes opinions are allowed but once they cross the line to a personal bashing of sorts, that's where a line is drawn. If you know you did not without a shadow of a doubt do any of the above mentioned things and you find your message removed (a single message versus an entire thread), and you wish to know why, e-mail management.
Q. I purchased the 3 pack prior to January 1st. What does "freebies" mean in reference to the new Artists in 2005?
The members/customers who have purchased the 3 pack, (Rion, Cartagena, and Guerra) have the advantage of "test driving" the new artists in 2005 without purchasing a license for these new artists. You would use your 3 pack licence # on the images/tags displayed. Come December 31, 2005 the "freebie" artists come to an end. They are not included in the lifetime use...In order to continue using these freebies and to get lifetime use for these freebies you have to purchase each individual artists package before December 31, 2005. Any new packages of Rion Vernon, Carlos Cartagena, Anthony Guerra, and Joel Adams are not included in this freebie offer as they are 2004 artists.
Q. I see a lot of names on the I.I. site. Are these artists "GILD"ed Now?
Until an official announcement or the new artist page has been updated by management, do not assume that those artists have signed on. Many of those artists are under contract with Philip Rose as their agent for commissioned goods. And they need to have their name exposed for those purposes.
Q. I have waited for over 3 days for my images/tubes/license... what should I do?
At this point you are advised to contact Philip Rose directly via email or telephone. For best results.. call him!
Q. How exactly are the packages gonna be offered?
Images come with a license...thats what you are getting the license for.
Option A is: # of images (license)
Option B is: # of images(license) and tubes... and all in one deal.
Q. How do i get tubes only?
Currently the only way to get tubes only is to purchase Option B and request a refund for the license . You will have to submit your license # to show that you already have one. This would be your 3 pack license # if you are requesting tubes that are one of the freebie artists and don't wish to purchase a license at this time.
Q. I have changed my main internet provider, which of course means my home email addy has changed as well. How do I go about making sure the GILD and II knows of this to correctly connect my licence number with my new email addy?
You can send an e-mail to :

Q. I hold multiple license's.. which number do I use?
It was decided that everyone can use ONE license # for all .. the latest one that you received. Exceptions to this: Continue to still use your Unlimited Anthony Guerra License on his (if you have it) .. and if you are using FREEBIE images that you did NOT buy a license for, you should use your 3 pack license #.
Q. I just wondered, is it okay to make desktop themes//wallpapers/Incredimail letters, using gild artists, as long as terms are followed and license number etc is on them and if so, can i offer them for free download in my group?
As long as they are properly credited and within the GILD's TOU then I do not see any problem in doing this, BUT....also with the understanding disclaimer to your members that upon downloading and using them they are also agreeing to not altering them theirselves, that way it protects you and keeps you within the TOU.
Q. Can the tags created of 2005 freebies be used after December 31, 2005?
Yes, however, Only the recipients of the tags can continue using the tags.. not the creator; unless a license has been purchased. As well the year 2005 should be present on all tags made with the freebie artists.
Q. Do GILD license's expire?
We would like to reassure you that your G.I.L.D. License is good for a lifetime, for the images covered by your G.I.L.D. License(s).
The reference to your G.I.L.D. License "expiring" will be removed from our mailings and TOU.

Q. It says to "copy the link and paste into password".my questions is, WHICH link do I copy and paste? I tried every thing I saw and it would not work!
Your not copy/pasting the hyperlink.. just the BLUE WORD.. you might even try typing it rather than copy/pasting..
Q. Where do we go to get the free images? 3 pack license holders only!
A. [email protected] and in the subject line you put the following in and fill it in with your info...RE: Please send me my images! My Full Name is: (your name) My G.I.L.D. License # is: (your license number) My PayPal email address is: (your addy) then I just put in the body of the message that I would like my so and so artist images.
Q. Who do I let know if I change my watermark?
We do not keep track of your watermarks, you keep track of your watermarks. This way if someone tries to be sneaky and swipe your license number and you see a tag go by making you think "gosh, that number looks familiar..."...you check with your own, see it's yours, well if you always watermark and they don't have it on there then it'll help you to know if you made it or not (you know, that a tag you made isn't recycled time and again without your knowledge, passed from group to group)...prior to contacting II.
Q. Can someone tell me if we are allowed to make (or use) custom brushes made from the G.I.L.D artists we have licenses for ?
Ok...these are treated similar to tubes. Basically you can make brushes only if:
you make them for your own personal usage (no sharing)
you do not combine Artists with them
you use them for background use only, not the main image
So there's your answer, have fun!
Q. Can I add a sparkle or another embellishment to cover a nipple or other exposed body part.. as some groups do not allow that kind of exposure?
This is allowed.. since it's not an animation . and not glaringly huge.. and is a "small" accent.. we will allow it..
Q. What is the start date of the GILD Rewards?
The official time and date of kickoff for our Rewards Program was the date and time we advised you of the Program being available.

Q. How do I order a gift license/tubes for a friend?
Order as usual, and include in the comments that it is a gift for a friend. Include the name, address, and email of your friend.
Q.May we use as a backgrounds in our tags photos that are royalty free.?? (I.E. StockXchange, MorguePhoto etc)
As long as they are free for usage and do not require a copyright mark on them, free to use to do what you want, etc. then yes, you can use them for the background.
Q. I am trying to find out, if we have earned a free license, may we give that to someone as a gift, and if so, what information Philip would need?
You most certainly may gift your FREE G.I.L.D. Rewards Licenses to other G.I.L.D. Members and/or "Newbies" (to get their feet in the door)! The process is basically identical to ordering a gift G.I.L.D. License for someone. The only difference is that we will credit your account for your FREE G.I.L.D. Rewards License (even though you gave it to someone else) when your order is fulfilled. Make sure to add as much information as possible about your Gift Recipient in the "Comments Area" so that we will know where to send the License and how to contact its recipient
Q. Can we feather, mask or otherwise alter the art of Alan Giana or Dan Zinno for our tags?
No. At the artist request they would not like to have their fine or landscape art cropped, feathered, masked or cut in any way. You can use filtered effects or masked images in the background of the tag, but you still have to have a full image unaltered presented on the tag as well.
Q. Is it okay to use GILD images in tutorial screen shots?
Yes, as long as there is a full finished tag represented on the same page that follows all GILD TOU, with a full intact and un-altered main image. Also, you will need the ©Artist Name and license number on the bottom of the page as well (where you normally put the page © info).
Q. Can we have moving body parts on GILD images in the backdrop or background of a tag, if we have a full un-animated main image too?
No. You cannot have any moving body parts (including such things as flowing hair, blinking, breathing, waving or kicking ect...). You can however have sparkles, noise, colorizing and other effects on a background image in a tag as long as there is a full intact main image that is un-altered on the tag represented and following the GILD TOU.
Q. When we purchase a license, can we use tubes of those GILD images that we might already have saved from the past?
Yes. As long as that tube follows all the GILD TOU, such as sizing, no alterations ect.
