Susan,

Now that I have a better idea of how my images would be used, I can certainly extend permission for you to do so. I would want to limit (at least for a while) how many images can be used, so which pieces are you interested in using?

I will plan to join your group soon! I assume it's an uncomplicated process.

Thanks,

Danny

Here would be my list of want to be's for the group:

Other animals:
Lester-chameleon 1
Patty-pig 2
Freddie-tree frog 3

Cats:
Ben-4
Lucky-5
Sadie-6

Dogs:
Cloe-7
Buster-8
Sasha-9
Molly -10
For a total of 10 images upon your approval.

Susan,

I am not familiar with the terms "signature tags" or "websets".  Also, I would like to visit your website for examples of your work and get a sense of how my art would be used.

How do you monitor use and or prevent artwork from being used?  I would think that is almost impossible.

Additionally, how many of my images are you interested in using

Thanks,

Danny

Dear Mr. Gordon,
Signature tags are pieces of art that are made with that artist's images and credits with a person's  name on it.  I will include an example below.  We never mix artists, so your animals would be put on different backgrounds with people's names on them.  Sometimes with the artist's permission we add sparkles to our images etc.  Web sets are web pages that we make with images.  Everything we do has the artist's name and the link to their website included.

We have a very knowledgeable staff that is copyright aware and our group is small.  We are able to keep an eye on our group quite closely.   It would be easier to be able to use all the images, but if that is  not to your liking, we write up permissions for each artist and we would just include in that permission which pieces could be used by our group.  You create your terms and we will abide by them.

I am one of the assistant managers in Signature Designz and I spend about 10 hours on the site per day.  On week ends it is more!  The board owner is there close to 18 hours a day.  We only allow the use of the art we have permission to use, so it is pretty easy for us to monitor the images created and also the terms of use our artists have.  Only a select few of our members have permission to use the art we have permission to use also.  They must pass an online class and be certified by us before they are allowed to tag in our group.  I can sure give you the link to our site.  We are a closed MSN group so you would have to apply to get in.  There is no way via MSN to do it any other way unfortunately.   Here is the link to our site:

We have a few animal artists that maybe you are familiar with: Nicole Jahan, Gail Gastfield, Cliff Bonamie and John Lund for emaple.

Here is an example of a signature tag:

Dear Mr. Gordon,
Oh thank you so much!!  I have a Pomeranian and it is so difficult to find cute dog prints to use!!  Well, for now picking pieces will be tough because I love them all LOL but can we go by sections in your website?  I was hoping we could use these:

   Other Animals
   Cats
   Dog section G-P

I will certainly wait to hear back from you before anything is done in the group to make sure it is all right with you first.

Thank-you again and I will be watching for your application!

Susan,

Let's do 5 per group that you mentioned for a total of 10. We can increase the number at a later time. How long do you typically use images?

Thanks,

Danny

Whatever you are comfortable with is fine by me as far as the pieces you'd like for us to use.
Usually we have permission to continue using the art indefinitely.
