Hey, everyone!
The file attached to this message is Smiling Fibros' very first brochure. This tri-fold contains some of the basic information about Fibromyalgia, as well as tips for making the most of doctor appointments and several links to resources on the Internet. The purpose of this brochure is to promote awareness of Fibromyalgia and help indivuals who suffer from it to get the most from their healthcare. Our goal is to have this brochure placed in doctor offices and such so it is available to patients.
I will try to list the steps for saving and printing this document for those who need help.
First of all, the brochure is in Microsoft Word format. There are other programs that can open it, but the alignment and everything will be off--most likely way off. If you do not have Microsoft word, please contact myself or any Smiling Fibros Bold and we will do our best to make sure you get some.
DOWNLOADING AND PRINTING
The link to the brochure file (trifold5.doc) is located directly below this message. Look for an area with a grey background.
- Click the link and a window should pop up that asks if you want to open the file or save it. If you choose to Open, you can print without saving the file to your computer. If you choose Save, you will have to then open the file in Microsoft Word to print.
- Once the file is open, glance over the document to make sure everything is still aligned. Sometimes different versions of Word can mess up the formatting a bit. Click your "Print" button on the toolbar, or go to the "File" menu, and then choose "Print." Again, if there is a problem, please contact myself or another Bold for help.
- You need to be sure "Landscape" is selected in your print properties for the document to print correctly.
- The brochure is double-sided. Printers can very a lot with printing front and back. In many cases, you can simply print the first page, then put the same sheet back in the paper tray and print the second page. Some printers may require flipping the sheet before putting it back in the tray for the second page. If you have your printer manual, check there for instructions on printing two-sided documents.
I realize these instructions may be confusing. Rather than trying to explain every detail and make things even more complicated, I will hope that anyone who has any questions or problems will post them here or contact myself or another Bold about them.
The bottom line is: If you want copies of this brochure, we will make sure you get them.
