This is an awesome site Avey, thanks for posting it. The girls watched both Nkorho and Elephant Plains for about two hours today. As it was the middle of the night in Africa, they only saw some birds and a thunderstorm, but they loved it and can't wait to see what's going on there when they wake up in the morning.
The girls saw a lioness this morning before they went to school. They were so excited! Chey had me write down the web site address so she can give it to her Social Studies teacher. Thanks again for posting this Avey.
This morning Elephant Plain was full of activity. We heard drums and childrens voices, and saw a herd of what we think were gazelle (they didn't get close enough to the camera for us to clearly identify). It was pretty awesome listening to the children laughing and talking.
yesterday we heard the drums on Elephant Plain again. This morning on Nkoro Pan we saw gazelle and monkeys. We watched a mother and baby monkey for about half an hour. It was pretty amazing. Em actually sat still for a while to watch the monkeys!
We saw more Gazelle and heard the drums again this morning on Elephant Plains. So far we've heard the drums at the same time (just before 7 am EST) every time we have heard them. On Nkoro, we saw spiders, ants, beetles and other creepy crawlies.
