This optical illusion was first created in 1861. Look at the two thick vertical lines. Do they look straight or curved to you? Hold a ruler up to the screen and you will see that they are indeed straight.

For me, at least, the left one seems to bend then straighten, but I knew that they were straight. Betta |

Hmmm...it looked curved when I first looked at it but when I continued to stare at it, it looked straight! ROFL! Go figure...I also had a sudden urge to get the crayons out and start coloring it. Does that count? Lol! Dini |

It is my fault, I tried to make the image bigger but messed it up :( sorry Heres the next one :) Look at the center of the image for about 30 seconds. Then quickly shift your gaze to somewhere with a white background. You should see an afterimage of the US flag with the correct colors! This happens because your eye reverses the colors in afterimages. |

I know that things like this DO work, but it isn't for me right now. I think it's because my eyes are irritated and a bit watery, and I'm blinking too much. Betta |

Hmmm...that didn't work for me, either. I found myself getting dizzy staring at it for that long. ROFL! But, hey, what can I say....Who said I was normal??? Dini |
