Just thought I'd remind everyone who we celebrate on St. Patrick's Day. He was a young scholar kidnapped from Britain and sold into slavery to a druid cheiftain in Ireland in the mid-400's. He served in various slave roles until paying attention to a vision sent to him by the Lord- time to escape. He returned to Britain, trained as a priest, and once again heeded God's call. He returned to Ireland as a missionary. He was perfect for the job because of his slavery- he knew the language and the way the people thought. Armed with the Christ, and his knowledge of the people, he returned to the Emerald Isle. In his effort for our Lord, he founded over 300 churches. When the Britons started taking the Irish as slaves, he rebuked them for being as non-Christian as those who were taken. Truly a man of God, and worthy of our celebration.
May God give you all His Peace, and heal you of all your afflictions soon.
In His Love,
MedicBob
