Dear Lord

every single evening as

I'm lying here in bed

this little prayer keeps running thru

my head

to bless a mother board

 

But listen just a moment

while I explain to you my Lord

You see, this little metal box

holds more than just odds and ends.

Inside those small compartments

rest so many of my dear sweet friends!!

 

Everything I know about them

like the kindness and unerstanding

that they show me and

give to me...

 

This little scrap of metal

takes me to where they live!

We share in what life brings us

and from that 

friendships grow!

 

Please take an extra minute

from your duties up above to bless

these in my address book,

that's filled with so much love!

Whomever else this prayer may reach,

to each and every friend;
