Last Thursday I was in an accident in which our trailer flipped, turned the SUV on its side and turned the whole thing 180 degrees.  Then we slid down the road that way about 100 feet.  I was hanging from my seat belt and either twisted my knee or bumped it, hurts like hell.  I bumped my head, I think on the ceiling light.  My husband and I are OK, in that there are no immediate injuries but I'm feeling worse and worse.  I already have post polio syndrome, arthritis, and fibro.  Even the 3 dogs are OK, Thank God.

I've been taking hydrocodone when needed but would like to change to my other med, endodan since I understand it has an anti-inflammatory.  I tend to use therapies and natural remedies when possible.  What do all of you use when things get really bad, so I can bring up possibilities to the dr.?  I will try some stretching, too.  As soon as I psych myself up to it.

HEY tHERE sTILL LEARNING
I take it you would like some idea's as to what we take for pain and discomfort. Also after being in the car accident it will act up your symptoms. I always find if I am sick hurt or under stress things get worse.
I personally take an anti depressent called effexor. Which makes me fairly normal. But I have also used tylenol with codiene and Ibuphrophen which is an anti inflammatory. It is so tricky to find the right medication as we are all individiuals and what works for one may not for the next.
I know for fibro they usually will recomend an anti depressant med and something for pain. Hope this is of help.

Just passing on something I learned at my last neuro appointment:

My neuro's PA said that Bextra is the top of the line for anti-inflammatory meds. Vioxx is supposed to be next.

Just letting you know because Bextra has helped me a lot with back pain and nerve inflamation. And I don't have to take it all the time, just regularly for maybe a week or two. Even if you can get some samples to try it might be enough to help your current pain.
