Hello,after reading aboutVioxx i had a telephone call from myDoctors

surgery to tell me that Vioxx has been withdrawn over here.

he has noe chanmged my medication to Meloxicam.

when iasked why it had been withdrawn, i was told there was a slight rics of a heart attack.has any one else been told the same thing>

Yes, it was on the news here it is a worldwide recall. What we heard here is it isn't a slight risk. I have a vioxx post in general with links that Niddy added.

I WONDER HOW MANY OF US TOOK VIOXX AND HOW LONG I GOT A LETTER FROM MY PHARMACY INSURANCE CO.ALSO. I GUESSING I WAS ON IT FOR 2 OR 3 YEARS BUT TOOK IT FOR HEADACHES ONLY FOR A FEW MORE . HOW ABOUT ;YOU WHAT SHOULD WE DO I MEAN IF YOU DID NOT HAVE A HEART ATTACT DO WE STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WE SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT??????? I WAS ON BUSPAR FOR A WHILE I GOT A LETTER FROM A LEGAL COMPANY I HAD TO FILL OUT A FORM FOR THEM AND THEY KEPT ME UPDATED I ENDED UP APART OF A CLASS ACTION SUIT. I USUALLY DON'T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT IT WAS NOT MUCH A FEW HUNDRED BUT THAT WAS ALOT TO ME IF ANY ONE KNOWS ANYTHING MORE PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL OF US WHAT TO DO BIRDIECUP

As far as I know with the vioxx, if you have not had any of the symptoms that caused the recall you have no legal resons for joining the lawsuit. Sometimes drugs are off the hook because they lists things in the reactions part about the meds. If you have had something that was caused by vioxx that is not included in the lawsuit talk to your Dr right away.

Also I took Vioxx but not for that long. It didn't do me any good or harm.

I took Vioxx a few times, but not enough to do anything to me probably.

Does anyone know if Bextra is in the same boat? It is a lot like vioxx and I have heard it may end up being recalled too. I took Bextra regularly for a while. That is discouraging, because Bextra seemed to help my back pain.
