Hey everyone.... I just got back from ANOTHER specialist appointment this one was a nuro dude.... and he said that they are starting to think that fibro is a nuro condition now rather then a rummy condition. Has anyone heard this before, it is the first time I have so was just wondering what others have heard. This new Dr is GREAT... sending me for a MRI ( have asked for 3 yrs for one) Trouble aka Gary |

I am so happy for you!!!! You need a great doctor!!!! I have seen a neuro and I have heard about this :) I just am so happy it is spreading :) I have had 3 MRI's of my brain :) First one proved I had a brain cell :) Second one proved I do not have smiley's on my brain :) Third one confirmed the other two :) From what I have heard it is slowly being seen as both, brain and muscle. PLEASE let us know what happens :) :) Good Luck :) Mega hugs smiles and love :) |

I've heard this before, Trouble. I personally think that fibro deals with several systems, but that's just me. Keep us posted on the MRI! |

I am thinking that fibro starts in the brain and then moves on to other parts. How was the MRI????????? |

This has actually been my theory for awhile. That explains the depressive component, and I know that on occasion my brain is not registering what my hands are feeling, for instance cold is registered as pain. OK, thought a lot about it. I do have a brain as well, confirmed! |

Many people who have post polio syndrome, also have fibromyalgia. Post polio is a nerve/muscle thing. (not sensation nerves, the other nerves) So I also think its both. Lets face it, what condition do you know of that only affects one area or system of the body? _still-learning |
