Get to know the Bolds
NIDDY - Hi Gang I'm Niddy, AKA Jeni. I was born and raised in Northern California, and moved to Utah about 9 years ago. I love kids, reading, writing, shopping, and oh yeah: CHOCOLATE!
When I was born, I didn't breath for 28 minutes. The Dr's had already given up on me, but one nurse kept performing CPR and got me breathing. They diagnosed me with Cerebral Palsy and said I'd never walk, talk, or live a normal life. Shows you what Dr's know! They were right about one thing though....my life has been far from normal!
About 6 years ago I met the man of my dreams. 3 months later I married him :) You all know him as Spirit of Smiling, and he has made my dreams come true over and over again!
10 months after we were married, my lifelong dream of becoming a mommy came true! We now have 2 beautiful boys, ages 4 and 2. They are such a joy to us and we learn from them daily.
Writing this has reminded me just how blessed I am. It's easy to take for granted the wonderful life I've been given sometimes. Thanks for letting me share!
DeeRPN1 - ell let me tell you a little about myself. i live in Ontario Canada. I am married and a Mother of three boys ages 21,17,12. I am also a Registered Practical Nurse . Graduated from the Nursing program in 1982. Have worked with Seniors most of my life. Since being diagnosed with Fibro.I have started my own business which is Nursing footcare. So i am still working . I was diagnosed with Fibro .in 1996. If I take my meds. as I am supposed to I am symptom free. I joined Smiling Fibros approximately 1 year ago. Shortly after joining was asked by Smile if I would like to become a Bold. I enjoy giving support and help to all at the site. Also enjoy the support I receive from the group. So if anyone has any questions or concerns that I might be able to help you with please feel free to email me at [email protected] I would be more than happy to help if I can or direct you to where you might get the answers you are looking for. |

Joke of the week
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother," she asked, "is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
Without missing a beat one little boy answered, "thou shall not kill."

Tips
Leg Cramps
I read another syndicated medical column in the paper, and I love the fact that the doctor is not afraid to pass on a few folk remedies. One suggestion sent to him by a reader was to put a bar of soap (not Dove or Dial) beneath the bottom bedsheet.
Under the cover of darkness (so my husband, who is an M.D., wouldln't see), I slipped a bar of soap beneath the sheet on my side of the bed. For two nights I continued to have mild leg cramps but by the third night they were gone. I have not had them since.
According to the syndicated physician, others have written to say it works. There are so many who would welcome this inexpensive cure for leg cramps.
