HI I hope this will help all of you with any or some of your plant questions! This time we will be discussing how to transplant and how to splice you plants into multiples.
OK lets get started,
First lets make sure you have all your supplies you need.
We need plants ,hahaha, pots, soil, antishock solution, water, and a sharpe knife or scissors.
If you do not have antishock solution white sugar helps some but its one teaspoons to 2 gallons of water, ok and jars or whatever you like to use:
ok lets start
we remove the plants from the soil, and then make sure you have as much soil removed from the plant, so all it looks like is all the roots being bare.
Now add some soil to the bottom of the pots and thats ready.
Now we need to make the multiples thats tricky
we cut in angles only, never ever in a straight line cuz it is to hard on the plant.
So we cut then according to how many plants you can or want to try to get. It will depend on the root. Sometimes you will discover you have things that look like a onion well those are bulbs and we must make sure we have the root part in the down side not in the upside cuz then they will be upsidedown lol meaning they will not grow.
Unless you have then upside right ok.
Now we have them cut and we have our bulbs all broken into how ever many we can get. With bulbs each one is a new potential plant ok.
Now we place each one into a solution of antishock for a few mintues so we dont kill the roots.
Now we place then each into the pots we have ready for them and make sure you have new soil not the old stuff unlesss you run out then you can alternate it in the pots ok, its best not to but you can if you have to.
Ok now we water them and make sure you baby them.
Now another way to splice is topside splicing. This is where we take a splice from the plant its self. We can take it from the side of the plant or the top, if from the top take about 4 inches off, ok then soak it in a jar till you get roots then plant into a pot with soils.
If you are taking from the sides you look for where a leaf has been removed or fallen off and you can take a cut above there where the leaf above is coming or is its called notching, you do that with a V shape cut yes it is tricky when you make such a cut your plant is going to weep so make sure you have mud made for it so you do not have bleeding plant, a bleeding plant can die.
Now that we have all our plants spliced and transplanted we have to make sure we water our babies and nurse them to health watering a small amount every day is recomended.
Well this was my first of hopefully many plant guides, I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any ideas or sujestions for me please post them and I will make use of them in my endeavor to bring you all I can. Don't be shy I wont be upset or hurt I to do not know everything and I will learn from you as I hope you can from me.
Love Always
