Chris joined Smiling Fibros Jan. 10, 2004. She enjoys making new friends and the support that she gets from the family. She is always around to give support too. She also enjoys the family feeling here.

She has a wonderful family that she is so proud of and enjoys so much :) She is married to her best friend, her hero and our GrandpaBill :) They have 4 wonderful sons, James-31, Scott-29, Michael-27, and Bill-26 who have given them their wonderful grandchildren :) Mathew-1, Melynda-6, and Kayla-4. They spend as much time as they all can together and are a wonderful close knit family.

Her favorite movie is "Mrs. Doubtfire" she enjoys it because she says it is a great movie, very funny and sometimes sad.

Her favorite holiday is Christmas, as we can tell from all her wonderful Christmas posts :) It is special to her because of the time she spends with family and all the celebrating :)

Her favorite book is the Bible, she says it has a lot of meaningful reading in it.

Her favorite singer is Bill Anderson and her favorite food is fish :)

Something she wants us all to know about her is she is very sentimental. She loves hugging people and being there for them even if it is just a kind word or hug :) We do hug a lot in this family don't we :)

Her pet peeve is people following too close in traffic because "I go slow especially in the dark and rainy weather because we have lots of deer where we live and they can come out anytime."

She is also our newest Bold :) We are all glad she is part of this family :)

My uncle Everett shore would hav been a whoppin' success if'n he had used sum of that advice that he always gav to other folk!

I jus hav lottsa faith in luck.....the harder I wurk the more luck i seems to hav.

Tips

Straw Place Mats Limp?

Revive dingy, limp straw mats by wetting and laying on a flat surface. Press down to make sure they are completely flat; then cover them completely with spray starch. Let dry; the mats should look much better.

Picture of the week

The temperature in Harbin reaches forty below zero, both Fahrenheit and centigrade, and stays below freezing nearly half the year.
The city is actually further north than notoriously cold Vladivostok, Russia, just 300 miles away.
So what does one do here every winter?
Hold an outdoor festival, of course!
Rather than suffer the cold, the residents of Harbin celebrate it, with an annual festival of snow and ice sculptures and competitions.

The pictures are huge but if you would like to see the pictures just let me know :)

Recipe of the week

Peanut Butter Pie

24 Nutter Butter Cookies
5 Tblspns of Melted Margarine
1 package of 8oz Cream Cheese Philadelphia Softened
3/4 cups of Sugar
1Tblspn Vanilla
1 Tub of (8oz) Cool whip

Preparation
CRUSH cookies in zipper-style plastic bag with rolling pin or in food processor. Mix cookie crumbs and butter. Press onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate.

MIX cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping. Spoon into crust.

FREEZE 4 hours or overnight until firm. Let stand 30 minutes or until pie can be cut easily. Garnish with remaining whipped topping and additional cookies, if desired.

After Making this my brother is hooked he has to have one each holiday. And I must say I am hooked as well.
