Would you rather be pain-free or fatigue-free? Why?

I agree with Niddy; if I were fatigue free I would be able to do something; anything!

Fatigue free-when I am only hurting I can take a pill-as Avey said -also when I have more energy I hurt less--I am able to move around and last but not least-my attitude is much better---Hugs old man-Jazzy

I'd love to be fatigue free . Because I can deal with pain but when I don't get any restful sleep I always end up falling down or walking into things then I'm in more pain

i'd rather be fatigue free.  trying to do things when you are tired is a lot harder then doing things when you have pain.  sometimes doing things can take your mind off the pain but it makes me even more tired.  i have to lay down and take a nap.

PAIN free of course - if pain free I could get the sleep that is robbed from me because of the pain.  No drugs have been discovered to relieve my pain as of yet.  getting ready to start on narcotic drugs because the rest simply do not do the trick.  Getting rid of the itching would be nice too!!  Or something to get rid of the other 66 symptoms that I have from this stupid illness.  I am sick of it being called a "Syndrom"  it is an illness.

Very  good question ....

PAIN FREE PLZZZZZZZZZZZZ  ...lol ... take my pain away and I can rest ... rest and my pain will stay away and I can go back to work and there goes the depression ....  and  yesh fibromom .... I'm tired of being just a syndrom too .... I havea sister that is an RN ... I'm a paramedic .... so she thinks she is better than me ... pppfffttt....lol .. but she said to get off my lazy ass and excersize and I would be fine ... maybe if this was a true illness or desiese process  we wouldn't be shuned by sociaty so ... shruggsss... we can only hope ....

I agree Trouble :)  It really is time for them to give us a different label!!!!  One that will get a LOT more respect from medical, family, friends, and others!!!!
Wouldn't it be nice to have people treat us like they do other medical problems that are understood enough to get compassion!!!  I am sorry this is just a bad moment for me but I am so tired of being treated as if I am lazy!!!  Just lose weight and you will feel fine!  Just do something and you will feel fine :)  I like Honey's reply when people say that in front of him :)  He says "How about you get tackled by an entired football team for a few hours then get up and run a few laps and then go to work?  I would be happy to arrange it for you."  That is why he is my Honey :)

I have been on meds that work for my pain and I still feel the answer is pain free.  Forget your meds the pain is worse for me.  True it can be controled but I thought the question was asking without meds.  Maybe I was wrong, Niddy can you ask Spirit?

I'd rather be pain free--no amount of medication at this point gets rid of the pain enough to let me be able to live and not be a zombie. If I was pain free then I could sleep and be fatigue free....I'd rather be tired from doing so much than be tired from doing nothing...does that make sense??                         *H*&*P*           juls

I think I'd have to choose fatigue free.  I can usually deal with the pain unless there is a lot of stiffness with it, or it worsens considerably with the slightest movement.  The fatigue stops me cold.  Then I get depressed about not accomplishing anything, and I think that just causes a vicious cycle.  Getting good rest and feeling refreshed, I feel, would probably lessen the pain to some extent, too.
