That's a good question, Smile!
My first reaction was to say "stay in bed" or "have a long bath"...then I thought that you can always hire a maid, although that's not an option for everyone. I know when I have bad days, not a lot gets done! After I have a shower, though, I feel much better and that motivates me to do some tasks.

When I am having a bad day,  I feel grateful just being able to get out of bed.  I have some long knit dresses that you just throw over your head.  They are so comfortable.  I even use them as night clothes, then you don't have to worry about getting dressed in the morning.

So you go a day or two without washing your face, combing your hair, or taking a bath.  The world is not coming to an end.  I can remember the days when we only took a bath and shampooed our hair once a week.

We cannot be on top of everything all the time.  Give yourself permission to take a day or two to just sit and regroup.  So many of us beat ourselves up by thinking that we "should".

So true, so I guess there is nothing to do but let it pass.  It just makes me feel so much worse.  I know to let it slide but some days I just want a shower so bad or when I just feel like I should be doing something knowing Honey works so hard.  I know it is all in the frame of mind but sometimes my frame is bent! :(

yeppers...letting it pass is a good one but then there are days when you have to do something....
They make a shampoo that you can wash your hair with and you don't need water to rinse....I am with Avey in that I have several long nightgowns...plus a few "kimono" type pjs....a thing of baby wipes in all of the rooms that matter.....some generic facial cloths that you have to wet down to use--great for cleaning your body where and when ever...plus they can be used to rinse--it is easy to rinse the soap out of them--I let them dry and used them to clean off counters or whatever might be dusty...if there are left-overs from meals I put them in a container and freeze them for me to use as lunch stuff--I have found that when I am in a lot of pain I won't go thru the trouble of fixing myself anything to eat.....this way I don't have an excuse not to eat...

It's a bit late and I can't stay awake so I will finish this in the morning but what have you figured out that is like a shortcut?
