Hey gang...my insurance is making a stink over my anti-depressant. Says the dose is too high and they wont cover it anymore (celexa 60 mg). Soooooo it looks like I need a new one. Crap. lol

I want to try Cymbalta, but someone said it was in the same family as Wellbutrin, which made me soooo sick. Anyone had any experience with Cymbalta?

I'm running outta options as I've tried soooo many!

Thanks guys,

{{{{{{Niddy}}}}}}  I am so sorry!!!!  I wasn't paying attention!  I have been taking cymbalta 60 mg in the pm and 30 mg in the am.....I have a terrible habit of reading all of the info that comes with the trial doses or what the docs give out to try....the info states that anything over 120 mgs per 24 hour period doesn't seem to make a marked difference so the recommended dose is 120 mgs or less.

I have a lot of neuropathy and pain from RSD besides the fibro, and according to my doc it is being widely used in treating MS patients as well as fibro pts.  I believe it is an advanced SRI...I will look up some more info on it because I have been curious about it anyway.....

It does help with the pain but it also helps with the depression.
I had quit taking the elavil so my neuro put me on the cymbalta. I haven't noticed any side-effects from it like I did with the elavil like the dire need for junk food so that might be another plus right???  I will do some checking tho and get back to you.

Niddy, I have tried cymbalta but it didn't sit well with me.  BUT Dad takes it and has great response!!! :)  Also several in my in person support groups take it and one couldn't take Wellbuton because it made her so sick but the cymbalta works.  So what are you going to do?  Have you tried PPA.com site?
