Find a way to generate positive thoughts that in turn will generate positive feelings.

I give myself permission to be depressed or down, but limit that time.  Have even used a timer.  During this down time I think of the things that are making me feel so down then try to think of something positive to do.

Everynight just before I fall asleep, I give myself one simple project to accomplish the next day.  Writing out a shopping list, washing dishes, picking up clothes that have gathered on bedroom floor.

I am in control and glean satisfaction in the fact that I made a plan and did it.  This usually leads to another small job that can be accomplished.

When I am knitting the infant hats, I can't help but think that someday an infant will wear one of these.  Try to imagine someone receiving and wearing one of your scarves or hats and the warmth it will give them.

Believe me there is no end to the list, but we don't worry about that.  One task at a time, one day at a time.

Take care.  I am open to chatting with you.  IM me.....Avey
