I have been trying to find the way to explain my mom.  Everyone who met her said she was the kindest, sweetest, smartest, person they knew.  When my friends would meet her they would always ask me, "Are you sure she is your mom?"  I would always love that :)

One time when my daughters were little.  My mom was driving us somewhere, can't remember where.  My daughters and I heard my mom say the first bad word we had ever heard her say.  A man did something not sure if he cut her off or what.  My mom said "you JERK!"  My girls and I remembered that for many years it was brought up often.  That was the worse word I ever heard my mom say.  I am adding a link to a page on my brothers site.  I don't agree with a few of the things.  I hardly remember my mom from the last year of her life.  She was tired and had given up.  What I remember about her most are the little things.  How very much she loved her garden.  How much delight she got from her grandkids.  How she told me the best thing she ever did was raise her family.  It wasn't giving up her dreams it was finding her dream.  I remember the complete love my parents had for each other.  You could see it and feel it everyday.  I learned from my parents the understanding of right from wrong, even though it took me many years to do it.  They taught me about honor and courage.  My mom told me to always live as if a policeman, a rabbi, my grandparents, and my parents were looking over my shoulder.  I made many wrong turns in my life.  I have lived with out the courage my parents had.  But for the last 9 years I have found that courage.  I have for many years tried to live my life as I felt was right.  I talk to my mom and grandfather everyday.  I have tried to live my life to do them proud.  I try everyday to do the best I can.  Thank you for reading about my mom.  She was an incredible woman, wife and mother.  It was an honor knowing her.

P.S.  My dad had the beard till just a couple of years ago.  He shaved it because his great granddaughter said it scared her.

My dear Smile, I find my self envious of such a wonderful family....and of course you came from wonderful, because you are very wonderful...In more ways then I can ever tell you or show you, but take a moment to reflect on the wonderful legacy you are a part of....and then see the imprint thats been left on you and your heart.....

Debbie~ I just read about your mom!  Oh, she sounds like such a wonderful woman.  It makes my heart glow with love when I hear or read things like this!  Many people could learn a lot from the selfless, loving-kindness your mother has shown to all those who she has come in contact with!
