Hi Nikki, Barb & All,

Can anyone recommend a nice scented perfume which will only last for a few hours without lingering, also is it best to use perfume by adding a little to a dress or just put it on your wrist.  I realise this may seem naive to some, but it's one of those little fem secrets to me.

Regards
Amanda

A while ago I mentioned perfume to Barbara, as I hadn't noticed much scent in the air at her house when girls were there and I was thinking about getting some. Being a bit dim I had forgotten about the lingering of scent and the suspicion it could cause (fortunately not in my case). Since then I have noticed that perfume doesn't ever seem to feature in discussions on other sites.

I don't use female deodorants as such, but have a collection of Sanex roll-ons and two do have nice feminine fragrances.

I'm not too sure whether perfume on the clothes is so good - it will go stale after a time and that could be unpleasant.

Hi Nikki.
A few months back we had a good old chat regarding perfume, on ' roses forum'  likes / dislikes etc it ran well.
To start a new thread off,   here are a few of  my favourites.............

'Obsession'  by Calvin Klien, best in the evenings as it has staying power and slightly 'heavy',  personally I prefer  the 'Obession for men'  by CK . that is VERY slightly different than the fem one but, for those who may have a prob at home, a bottle of that in the bathroom wont cause suspicion especially if the misses buys it for you for
x-mass.

'Ysatis' pronounced  'e-satees'  by Givenchy, the eau de toilette version is slightly sweet, (I wear that most days in him mode, Jen likes it too!)

'Fidgi'  pronounced slightly 'Feedgee' (get the french accent going there!)  by Guy Laroche, hard to find in England though, I get mine in France, they also do a matching moisturiser which is.... Mmmmm!!

Speaking of moisturiser, I find the best one for me is called;  'simple'  light,  it is not perfumed so undectable, on sale in Boots, use it a couple of times in a day before dressing day, then before, and after shaving, again just before using your foundation, it gives a much smoother finish as it stops foundation 'dragging' like it is too dry, there is a plus here in that your face is lovely and soft.

Enjoy !!!

So, what are your favourite's then...........................?

Huggz   Josie.

Nikki,       I have a feeling this wont come as a new post, rather under yours, if you wish, move it to form a new thread ?

Hi Girls,

Special thanks to Nikki, Patti and Josie, for your advise on the perfume topic and if any other girls look-in and have something to add on the subject would love to hear from you.

Hi Josie,

Using Ysatis is very brave in male mode.

I too rather like it and wear it occasionally.  I came across it first when worn by our secretary at work.  It was rather nice, sweet as you say, and certainly a feminine fragrance so I asked her what it was.  I should also add that it is quite strong too!  Fine in fem mode, but a bit of a giveaway as male I would have thought?

My other favourite at the moment is M&S Per Una.  I have been wearing that a lot this year.

Emma.

I really must have a sniff around! I recently found an old bottle of Nina Ricci For Men which was the nearest I came to perfume in my ultra-closeted days ... it doesn't seem to have any keynotes anymore (if it ever did have any!) But that brought back memories of the perfume my first GF used - Tweed ... it smelt so exotic and sultry at 15, I wonder what I would make of it now?

Hi Girls,

I recommend 'Pivoine' or 'Nature' from Avon for an inexpensive way to smell subtly of the woman you are at close range, without being detectable at normal range in male mode.

I have worn 'Ghost' of late to make a change . I have lots of Chloe 'Narcisse', but I have been getting a bit fed up with it. I intend  to try 'Eternity' and 'Escape' by Calvin Klein, '212' by Carolina Herrera, 'Exclamation' and 'Cachet', but I do also like  and wear 'Joy' (of course!) which was the first modern commercial perfume (no I'm not still using Jean Patou's original bottle, thank you). But yes there  are certain other womanly wafts  that really move me ...

Love from Joy xx

Hi ladies, I use solid perfume on the wrists and behind the ears.

I also only use fem deodorants on a daily basis need to ensure they do not clash.

Love Carole X

Hi Patti,

Very strange this was in the Make-up Q&A section of the groupe.

I can't think how it got in your email.

Hope to see you soon,

Carole.

And it would seem that Bab's was in all the time and we missed out on the cakes and girly chat.

Hope to see you again.

Carole.
