Hi Girls,

Barbara showed me some more pics of Brandi this evening - my, there is some interesting eye make up - in the vein of drag, but expertly done (I hope B will post the other pics).

It's not my thing, but I can admire it for its boldness ... which is where the link to belly dancing is :) - thanks Kaye.

I thought it would be interesting to find out if other girls had particularly unusual looks they went for (no, not the usual nurses and schoolgirls ;)) either in clothes or in make up.

I thought about me ... I think the thing which interests me is the dyke look ... which is not that easy, even for a bloke! I'm still working on it.

Nikki

Hi,

I've done a sort of goth look before, no photos kept I'm afraid...

BTW, Brandie's wearing my choker, - I'll choke 'er!!! :)

Patti.

Nicki,

Oh yes, I nearly forgot. I did the 'mum-to-be' look once, but that wasn't deliberate. Just a poor choice of top, but I was under pressure at the time.

I'd been shopping with BobbyJo in Maidstone 2 or 3 years ago and having persuaded her to buy yet more boots - didn't take much persuading actually ("Patti, you can never have too many boots..."), she pointed out that though she'd spent only £10 on herself and about £45 on Marg (thanks to me dragging them both into Schuh - particularly sore point that!) I hadn't actually bought anything myself (not even any anniversary pressies for my wife).

So I was sent into Evans and told to make sure I spent some money before I came out. Having found a couple of things for my wife, I spotted a top which looked promising so as I wasn't in girl mode I bought it without trying it on.

It was only after one of Barb's coffee mornings a week or two later (remember a snowy March a couple of years ago?) when I had a bit of a photo-session that I realised the top made me look about 8 months pregnant!).

The top went back to Evans, and though the photo was on SCC for a while it didn't survive the great purge of February 2007.

Luv,
Patti.

Not an easy look to acheive. I looked up dike and got this answer.
The best known form of dike can be mainly found along the sea, where dunes are not strong enough, along rivers for protection against high-floods, along lakes or along polders.
Why would you want to look like a sand bag?                                        Jenny
