There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January...one American city, about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq.

How many Iraqi's were killed during the same period, through terrorist attacks or other violent means?  How many Iraqi soldiers and how many civilians?  You can't take the figures from one segment and project it over the entire country.

Germany never attacked us; Japan did

Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, FDR asked Congress to declare war on Japan only.  It was Germany and Italy who declared war on the U.S., on December 11, 1941, and not the other way around.

And as for your other examples, are Republicans much better?  Spain never attacked us but McKinley went to war with them.  Iraq never attacked us in 1991, but Bush senior went to war with them.  And Iraq never attacked us in 2002, but Bush junior went to war with them.  And of course, the Confederacy never attacked the U.S., but Lincoln went to war with them.

Our Commander-in-Chief is doing a great job...

I beg to differ.
