Biography Chris was born Fort Liard in the Northwest Territories of Canada and he was home schooled, so he was done with school at 16 and had been working saving up money for a few years. Worked through the summer of '95 and then he left home hitchiking to Calgary, trained in the dungeon for 6 months and debuted right after in some dark matches in Canada. He wrestled quite a few times, never in the states and even did some dark matches for then the WWF, but never signed as he wanted more experience and didn't want to water down his shoot style. He took his money he had and got a flight to Japan where he at first sought out unofficial training while learning their style which is similiar as its shoot, but its also hardcore, Crest fit right in! He would travel into Germany and Russia even into Europe and for ten years he became a regular name aross Europe, Asia, mainly Japan, people held him n the highest respect, they still do. It was in Japan around '02 he met two guys, JR Hawk and Jason Price, fellow canadians who wrestled his style and both trained by Lou Thesz in the same class. Crest befriended them and the three even had a small stint wrestling as a team in Japan known as the Canadian Cripplers. Hawk left to go other places and get noticed while gaining experience, Price stayed in Japan where he and Crest tagged quite a bit, but in '03 Price would go to the US to Wrestling Underground. Crest stayed in Japan and continued wrestling there and across the Asian and European continents. It was in '07 Crest came to the US for the first time to the Underground wokring for Frank E Dangerously and liked it, he was allowed to keep his style and there he tagged with Price and they took the name of the Candian Cripplers they used in Japan. In the summer of '07 the Underground would merge with SEF and in came Crest in what could be a huge break for him finally. |
