I just got around to watching the trailer... Taking their cues from Star Wars and Batman and going with the prequel? I'm there! |

Prequels are a wonderful thing! When Hollywood runs out of ideas, they can always make a movie about the movie about the movie they made on the topic they made 100 years ago. Just imagine the movie they'll make about Anniken Skywaler's relative taking their fisrt step from the primordial soup on a planet in a galaxy far, far away...... |

I think you'll find that a great many movies are based upon plots from stories told since the dawn of time. You mentioned Star Wars; that plot is among the oldest... the questing hero. It's got swordplay, the damsel in distress, the evil villian, etc., etc... I don't think recycling plots is a bad thing, old ingrediants mixed in new ways can create something completely different. |

Alaska- I was speaking of recycling old movies...... Good v. Evil will always be the simplest plot. |

This probably belongs in the .... "You Know You're Geting Old. When... " Thread You know you're getting old when they start making new movies for your grandchildren based on movies you watched before your own children were born! Does that make sense? |
