I'm trying to lose 10 pounds. Near starving but nothing happening so far. Any ideas you can share? I know, less calories, more exercise. But how about programs, herbs, pills, diet plans? Anyone have any success they could share?

About nine years ago I decided to go on a diet. I wanted to loose a little weight, and managed to loose around 90 pounds. I've managed too keep it off by cutting out the carbs, and exercising on somewhat of a regular basis. I feel great, and I'm probably in the best shape of my life. I'm one of these people who don't believe that you have to pay others to loose weight. I can exercise, and manage my diet very well on my own.

I hope you reach your goal Suzie. Ten pounds doesn't seem like a lot. When I lost my weight the last 10 pounds was the hardest thing I had done. Good luck too you!!

Thanks, James. I'm attempting to make a lifestyle change. I'm not really overweight, just average, but I like being skinny. I feel better when I am. Congratulations on your lifestyle change. I don't know how old you are but I am at an age where I believe it's crucial to think and act smart to live long. I prefer a low-fat diet rather than a low carb one but it's a slow process. I work 50 hours a week so I really don't feel like exercising most days. Hoping that will change soon. I have a high stress job and it stinks, but soon the U.S. post office will be calling me. Have you ever seen such a group of laid back people as postal employees? I'm psyched.

ever since ive known her, my wife has gotten up 3 mornings a week to exercise with body electric on pbs ... that, combined with eating just a little less than shed like of the same foods weve always eaten, has enabled her to maintain the same figure that she had when i met her 25 years ago ... (sigh)

Eat celery - you use up more calories eating it than you get from eating it. Magical food for dieters
