Devlin smirked in mild amusement... As he realized that the new slave master would not be thwarted... much.... It in truth gave him very little leeway to try to take Ramla's soul unless it was of her own free will.... Though... In a way.... Choosing to obey your master was free will.... But even the ordering wouldn't count... But suppose he gave her choice? With a reward for such things? Too many things can go wrong...
