ok, so u know my mutt modern game hen, Molly (the one that had the broody problem not too long ago).  she has a new problem.  lol.  When i first got her, i noticed she held her leg in an odd postition... a very odd position... kinda like... _|<_ the _ being where her toes are and the | being the good leg and the < being the odd leg.  at first i thought it was nothing... that maybe she just temporarily hurt it... but she's had it for 2 years and it's REALLY been odd lately.  one foot points forward whilst another points to the right in its natural position.  could that be tendinitus (sp?) or something else serious?  cause she's a sweet bird, i don't want to put her down but i don't want her to suffer.  and if it's nothing bad, and u know what it is, is it an inheiritated trait or not?  meh, it's too hard to describe, i'll try to get a photo of her leg up soon.  thanks to anyone who can help me and my chicky!!!

sounds like a displaced tendon. it can be felt if you straighten out the leg and feel at the back of her hock joint  some times it can be slid back if you gently straighten the leg out and manuever it into position. It need to be bandaged to stay there and that hard to get right. It also may be a dislocation of the hock joint as well but you have to feel the good leg and the bad leg to try to figure out the difference.
