Welcome to the new year! We won't be here long, but we can still pop in and say hi each day and keep up with each other! Greetings My Precious Family, I'm feeling depressed so this is going to be quick. Falcon, I hope you and yours are feeling better real soon, chest infections are nastie business.. when I get bronchitis, and my chest feels achie, I like to hold a nice almost hot waterbottle against my chest. Also, drinking almost hot water is soothing. My arthur and I went to look at the house, I fell in love with it..the kitchen was the perfect size..the layout..perfect.. the size of the house..again..perfect. Long sad story short.. my arthur hated it. Period.. he said that it didn't do a thing for him. I was/ am crushed..but I told him that we both have to want it..and that we'll keep looking. We had the conersation of why.. basically.. he just simply didn't like it. I don't want to..or just can NOT discuss it any further. I feel hurt... we had words.. and I feel hurt.. so I'm just going to go and lick my wounds and we'll keep looking. I like the older, character homes..he's more modern..this is going to be difficult..unless I just let him pick..he has good taste in clothes and things.. oh I'll be back later.. Greetings MyPrecious Family, Its Sunday morning.. arthur is watching his football (soccer) and moms gone to church.. i've had a nice shower and am now just letting my hair dry. After arthurs game, we're driving to Welland to look at a house..just a drive and look..not going inside. The listing on the internet showed a few inside pictures but no pics of the outside of the house. I had hopes of living in my own town..but was agreeable to Welland.. Maybe the stress of feeling closed in is getting to me and making me feel this way. We ARE living in close quarters here at moms. The weather person says we're going to have snow every day this week..and we got about a foot of the white puffy stuff during the night. I'm sure that what ever house athur feels good about will be a nice house. I'm not sleeping to much these days. My mind is just racing with thoughts and today I have a bit of a headache. Funny, i got an email from Tarot.com.. they send me a daily horoscope.. I started to read it..but when i read "don't compromise your identityj" .. or was it indiviuality.. I stopped reading it..Arthur and I love each other very much.. I so want for him to be happy..thats very important to me. Part of our problem is communication. I try to talk to him and tell him my thoughts, dreams opinions etc.. and at one time..when we first dated..he was always so attentive and it seemed that he valued my opinions, etc.. its not that way and hasn't been for a long time. I say something, he says I'm wrong..he goes to mom or his buddy and they tell him the same thing I did..and they're right.. I don't get it. He insistantly says he dislikes things that I say I like.. and I've tried reversing that.. saying that I liked something I didn't..and he still does it.. its so weird.. He knew when we first met that I love antiques..we'd go to the stores, we'd watch the antique shows in england and here..and when I was offered a lovely antique bed..for free..he said no. I'm sorry.. I think I'm just trying to get my thoughts in order here.. i don't expect any advice..or anything.. and please don't get me wrong..my arthur is a very good man..I love him so much.. he's good to me in so many other ways. he really is thoughtful and generous and I believe that he loves me to.. I can't imagine my life without him and I don't regret marrying him. We've had a rough go.. I think that once we're in our own place..where ever that is.. we'll be able to get to REALLY know each other..and build our life together.. we just have some stumbling blocks to get over.. Okay..  Good Afternoon sweet friends,its another beaut day here,very very hot,how I love the heat.I had an awesome birthday last saturday,my darling took me out for dinner and then we came home and watched Anne franks movie was so sad,its Petes birhtday on the 20th so will be another dinner out,going to get him a voucer,so we can go out,I have also put over his fav song on the radio sports white coat he loves it,bless his golden heart. i go for a eye test on thursday pray that I will pass this time for my drivers licence,woohoo. Celtic hun I hear you,the right home will come to you,its like Pete wants me to stay at my old job,he knows I love it,its just the hours,I am thinking of going back to my old job,but a few there find it hard to except me because I am a witch lol lol,little old me lol lol. Good morning! It looks like we're going to have some really chilly mornings, but the afternoons will be sunny and warm. We have a really nice visit with Michael's sister and brother yesterday. We hadn't seen either one of them in quite a while. We all went outside for a while, and we saw hundreds of geese flying north. I do mean hundreds! We must have stood there for 20 minutes watching them fly over. What a sight! Does this mean an early spring? Michael's brother said that he had lots of robins in his yard. I haven't seen any yet, but I'm sure they're around. Angel - Sounds like you're having a beautiful summer. I'll bet you're getting everything ready to move. Take care! Hello! Thank you to everyone for the warm response. I knew there was something about this group I liked when I signed up!  EarthAngel - I'm excited to see you. You sound like you're keeping busy. Rowan - I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada. I know that people tend to think that ALL we have is snow here but it's only our winters that turn white. We surely have been getting a lot of it in the last week or so. We're bracing ourselves for another storm this Tuesday and Wednesday. JOY! I just turned 40 on Tuesday (6th) and people keep asking me if I feel any differerent - I feel no different than I did at 39, 38, 37...age is something I can't control so I don't feel the need to change my mentality to suit my going into another decade. Other than that, nothing too exciting happens around here. My town is quiet and small, with a population of about 11,765 people. I've lived here most of my life so it would be hard for me to go anywhere else. There's something to be said for Dorothy's words in the Wizard of Oz "there's no place like home". Cathy |

Good morning! It's chilly this morning - down to 32 and windy. Brrrr! We'll need to run up to Radio Shack later on, so hopefully, it'll warm up by then. Andrew came over yesterday and brought the stuff so we could get Girl Scout cookies. We got some from each of the girls. LOL! We'll have plenty of cookies around here next month! Cathy - My mother's grandparents (paternal) came from Nova Scotia! I've always wanted to go there, but never made it. I'm originally from Boston, Mass., but have lived in Texas for over 30 years. Hello Lady Mist, I agree. I do think this is a very supportive community group.  I like to hear it when people tell me they have an idea where I am on the map. Such a small world! I've been working in retail for a few years and the tourists always tell me they love to visit Nova Scotia. I enjoy United States history and would love to visit a few places. One of them being Salem Mass. Since I'm scared to fly it might have to be one long road trip someday.  It's cold here again today. That snowstorm is due to start this afternoon.  Hi everyone,hows it all going,tis very quiet in here,lol.I have been extra busy with cleaning packing and work and appoinments inbetween but its all good,I am shield and grounded. I have told myself this year not to take on board what I cannot handle and go with the flow,its working woohoo. Only 3 more sleeps in this house,woohoo. I have not seen Pete for 3 days,when I come home at night he is a sleep,when he gets up in the morning I am asleep,Still no news from the jobs I applied for,will keep looking,the right job will come along at the right time. Colin Fry is on vibe tv at the moment,he is as good as john Edwards,so awesome to watch. Rowan I hope you are starting to feel better,the flu takes alot out of you,sending healing vibes to you hun. Lady Mist sounds so cold where you are,its so hot here that it is so hard to sleep. Cathy I too am so excited to see you,its awesome. Greetings My Precious Family, Its been cold, snowy and windy today..the temps are suppose to go down lower tomorrow..to 7F. Cathy, I'm in Southern Ontario right on the shores of Lake Erie. I've never been to Nova Scotia, but I'd love to visit there one day. Its so nice to see you posting here. I to would love to visit Salem Mas. as well. I've been to a number of states.. LadyMyst, hows the knee coming along? My arthur and i are still house hunting. We went to see one tonight after work and I hurt my back trying to get down the wonky attic steps.. all of the rooms were far to small.. we're obviously passing on this one. Its been a day. Good morning! We have not gotten the predicted snow storm...we got rain! Yay! It's taking all the snow away (dances with joy). Angel ~ you have made a worthy resolution not to take on too much. It wears you out and you don't need the extra stress. I'm excited that you're moving into a new house and I hope you get to see Pete a little bit more soon. Good morning everyone! It's chilly this morning, but it's supposed to reach the 60's this afternoon - a really nice day. Tomorrow will be different! The weatherman was saying that it probably won't get out of the 30's! That Arctic front that coming through is really really cold! I hope all those geese we saw on Sunday don't freeze their tail feathers off! LOL! We don't have much planned for today, although we'll probably run up to Walmart for a few things. Cat - My grandmother was born and raised in Salem, and I grew up not too far from there. It's a fascinating town! If you're at all sensitive, you'll feel the spirits that haunt the different places there. Angel - It's not really that cold here. We've had a couple of nice warm days, then a couple of cold days, etc. etc. But, when it gets cold, it really gets cold! The Texas summers are like that here, too - too hot to sleep. Thank goodness for air conditioning! LOL! Celtie - The knee aches, but that's to be expected. I wear my knee support whenever I'm going to be on my feet for any length of time. Greetings My Precious Family I'm sorry that i've not been here a big whole bunch. Life has been so hectic as of late with going to work, and then we've been going out to look at houses right after work..we've been getting home later so eating supper later..cleaning up etc..by the time I sit down..its time to breathe.. almost. We've been looking at houses every nite this week..the one we saw tonight..we liked..we were going to put a bid on it..and we sorta did..but theres a bid on it already.So depending on this other situation..well, we'll see. Cathy.. yes..its really cold..the windchill is something like 7F. Its that raw bitter cold. Where I live is right on the lake..so its a very dampy tye of cold..bone-chilling. Its me and my chapstick at all times. Moisturizer is a must. I went to the Health Food Store this past Sunday and I'm now taking Omega 3-6-9..Green Tea and I'm also taking Wild Oil of Oregano.. with the hopes that it'll help with my back..bronchitis and stuff.. | Well, hello everyone! I think I am going to live after all... I was beginning to wonder! rofl. Cold/flu is almost gone and I am starting to be able to think again. This is a VERY good thing being as I set it up to move the group... and couldn't remember where. Now that I remember, I am waiting to see how long it takes them and if it doesn't work out with them, well, Mist and I are going to get together next Monday and panic together! Just kidding!!! We do have a backup plan, somewhere... With six managers, I am sure we can think of something. The site did say it might take up to a week to move us so we are checking periodically to see if they have started... so far, no joy. We decided to not yet say where we are going til we know for sure that we will be moved. Avoids confusion if they don't move us :-) If they don't, we will jump into another site and try again. I want to thank everyone for your patience with this. I know we are at the eleventh hour... who knew so much would start happening right when we needed everyone's mind on the move???! Goodness... life is such a great journey isn't it :-) The blizzards knocked out something at the phone company so they have been working on it. Today I found out I have to re-record the message on our voicemail. Oh yeah, right... I sound like a frog right now with this cold thing rofl! So, it's gonna have to wait so if anyone calls in the next few days and it goes to voice mail with just a pre-recorded voice saying to leave a message, please, just go with it til I get my voice back ok? lol. Hubby says it is really an abrupt message but I think it's better than nothing. Anyway, can't stay on as I need to get to bed. So much to do tomorrow. I hope you all sleep sweet and wake to a beautiful new day full of big puffy clouds and sunshine... *sigh* sunshine... I miss it soooo much lol! Love and big hugs to all! Rowan |

Good morning! Yup! It's cold! Down to 23 this morning. Luckily, the wind is only about 5 mph, so it doesn't feel too bad. It's not supposed to get out of the 40's today, but it'll be getting warmer over the weekend. I feel like I'm coming down with this cold. So, who sneezed on their monitor? LOL! We've got to get some laundry done today and get a couple of other things done. Hopefully, tomorrow we'll just take it easy. I better get a move on so we can get down to the laundry room. BRRRR! It's cold here too! We're supposed to get a windchill of -35 tonight. I have pity for people and animals who have to be out in it. I wish I had a heated blanket I could wrap around all of them. To all of you who are sick and recovering, sending you lots of healing energy. Hugs, Cat |
