Merry Christmas, Blessed Yuletide to my precious family.. Its going onto 9pm, and yes, its been quite a day. Mom is pretty pooed out and she's went upstairs about an hour ago. The turkey was delicious, the potatoes were mashed to perfection, the gravy was grand, the carrots were tender, caesar salad crisp and tastie to.. and the dressing... was dynamite, rolls .. lovely, cranberry sauce..soooo tastie, and the sweets and treats, well they were sweet and they were treats to the tastebuds. My arthur has crashed on the sofa. And me.. well, I think that I shall climb into my shlumpy clothes and watch a little tellie. I was really hoping that my favorite season shows, or at least a few of them would be on tonight. I love watching White Christmas, Holiday Inn, and a few others.. I hope that you all have had a wonderful day..that your stockings were filled to the brim..that tastebuds were tickled and delighted.. celtie |

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was very nice. Tanya cooked a wonderful dinner - ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, potato salad, pea salad, carrots, rolls, and so many different desserts! Wow! Needless to say, we came home stuffed! Andrew knows how much I loved stuffed animals, so with the girls help, they picked out this huge Bengal Tiger! He's like 40 inches long - not counting the tail. LOL! He's sitting on the bed. Mr Boofuss wasn't real happy with him at first, but after a while, he sniffed him and walked all over him. When he decided that the tiger wasn't going to move or growl or anything, then it was okay. I wish I could have gotten a picture of him last night. Boof was curled up against him with his head resting on the big paws. Michael got me some DVD's that I wanted, and a beautiful cross necklace. Monica, Kyle & David gave us a nice gift card from Wal-mart. She said she really didn't know what we wanted or needed, so we can get what we want. I need to get some laundry done this morning. It's real warm - 63 right now. We're supposed to get rain this afternoon and through tomorrow with some storms mixed in. Oh well! At least we had a nice Christmas Day! You all have a great day! Hello everyone!!! Yes-I am very happy-happy-happy!!!! Matt and I are doing very well! Last night was awesome--just incredibly awesome, Christmas Eve was nice, too--I didn't really see much of him on Christmas day because he had to work, but he did like his breakfast in bed, and he did make me dinner when he got home from work--so it wasn't uneventful!!! He's a great cook, too. He's so sweet-and kind, and caring--omg--we are both so lucky to have found each other! He's so incredible--I really love him--it's wonderful!!! Oh and we fight--lol!!! Not a lot--but we do have our disagreements now and then--and it's so invigorating to just feel alive! I love his two cats--Hermione and Sparrow, they're both part Maine Coone Cat--by Mione looks it, Sparrow on the other hand is this delicate, skittish, flighty black cat--and she really is the boss--she just lets Mione think she's the princess--Matt was actually impressed that I understand that Sparrow's the real boss of the place--it's so funny to watch her put Mione in her place once a day! Matt wants to find a house soon, too. He's tired of the crappy apartment complex and their refusal to fix things-plus he wants more space for us! Our living room ceiling is falling in and leaking everytime it rains (or the snow melts) it's been like this since November 24--before Thanks Giving, and the handyman/employee that was supposed to come back never did--he moved out and quit!! Then earlier this month they 'lost' our rent check, and just found it last week--grrr!!! Right in the deposit bag, but the full-time employee didn't bother to look at all for it, the part-time girl looked in the desk and went through the deposit bags and found it in less than 5 minutes--and wrote up a receipt for the first of the month, the other lady told Matt that he'd have to write a new one and put a stop payment on the original, and he was prepared to do that--but decided to see if it had 'turned up' or not--oh this place is insane!!! Matt has told me how much happier he has been since we've been together, and how it's been so long since he's ever really been this happy--11 years, his girlfriend died 11 years ago today, and I'm really the first person he's really truly loved since her--and that really is special. He doesn't celebrate holidays--at least not xmas, but he does celebrate Halloween and being a Detroiter of course Devil's Night!!! Oh, and we're going to Grand Rapids for Valentine's Weekend, we've got a concert on Feb. 13th (Friday the 13th--one of my favorite days--lol!) to see HIS favorite band, Motley Crue--which I do feel very special to be the one he's sharing this with--he usually goes with his brother or another of his buddies--but he's taking me--ME!! I am so geeked!!! I've always wanted to see them live--and now I get to!!! But--it's with Matt--and that's a million times more special!!! Well, I must get going for now--hope you all have a great weekend, and that the New Year brings each and everyone great and wonderful things--I think mine's going to be an even better year than this one has turned out to be!!! |

Greetings My Precious Family, Just a quick hello. The next few days are going to be very busy. My daughter and her family will be here tomorrow to exchange gifts and share supper. She and her family go back home on Wednesday. I have to work Monday and Tuesday and then off again for a little while. Its going to be so great to see her and my little grandson. He's only 4 and so cute and active and still cuddles. He'll be 5 in April. Damian.. I just love hearing the excitement and wonderment in your letters. Hearing about your love, we are so honored that you share it with us. You sound so happy, and I am so happy with you. Lady Myst.. sounds like you had a very lovely Yule.. and your supper sounds yummmm-my.. I just bet that tiger is gorgeous. My arthur got me a lovely gold bracelette.. it has little X's and in between the x's are 3 little tiny diamond chips.. I also got a Wizard of Oz coffee mug.. I love the Wizard of Oz.. last year my daughter got me Glinda and the Wicked Witch dolls (Barbie) as well as the smaller box of dolls with The Mayor, the LolliPop Kid and the doll Ballarina I can't remember her name.. I received a few other things.. like toiletries, blouse etc.. it was a lovely day. I'm looking forward to watching my grandson open his tomorrow. We had a White Yule.. it rained but the snow stayed. It rained torentially today..and a lot of the snow is now gone. The temps got up to about 56F today! Thats unusual. I need to go for now..this was suppose to be a short quick letter. Good morning! I came in yesterday morning to post, and before I could pull up a message box, we had thunder and lightning. So, I had to disconnect everything before I got zapped! Thankfully, we didn't have any real bad storms, but they were storms, nonetheless! Lots of thunder, lightning and rain. I was off-line for several hours. Once it all passed, the temps dropped like 20掳 in just a matter of about an hour. Then the sun came out, and the temps went back up 10掳! LOL! It stayed windy - we could hear the roar for the longest time. So, this morning it's rather chilly - down to 32, but it's supposed to get up into the 50's later on. So, what have you all got planned for today? Not much here. I do have to get a few things cleaned up, but that's about it. I'm planning to take it rather easy today. Damian - I'm so happy for you! It sounds like everything is working out so well. And, you get to see Motley Crue! Wow! Your apartment sounds like the ones we live in. They do fix things, but it might take them forever. Celtie - You're going to have such a wonderful time with your daughter and grandson! I'll have to take a picture of my tiger. Mr Boofuss has gotten to where he ignores "Bennie". Goodmorning My Precious Family, I can see a bit of blue sky this morning, but we've had so much strong wind that its blown my outside temperature thingie right around and I can't see it. Oh, its been so windy and blowy here. We have branches lying all about.. cable lines came down. Its been a real hoot. Yesterday my daughter and her family were over. My son-in-law (Mat), along with my arthur and my grandson (Matias) they took a drive down to the lake to see the waves..they came back and told us that big iceburg chunks.. the size of big buildings were all mounded up. After work today I'm asking my arthur to take me up to see it. The wind has quieted and calmed down today. It was so good to see my girl (Rebecca / Becky), she's got a little pooch of a tummy and she's 4 1/2 months along pregnant. Now ladies..I need to inlist your help.. could you please help me build a list of girl names that start with the letter *R*.. I suggested to her that since theres a Mat and Matias.. that maybe this next child...boy or girl..could have her first initial or her name.. she likes Riley..Mat doesn't.. they sorta like Remi.. my name books are all packed away in the garage. Becky and at and Matias got my arthur and I a digital for Yule.. and when becky and matias went to MacDonalds, during the summer..they saw that they were doing The Wizard Of Oz dolls.. the little sized ones.. she got me Glinda and Dorothy.. they're really cute. Lady Myst.. I noticed that your message was sent/posted at.. 7 somthing am.. and you already had housework done?? My goodness.. do you have boosters attached to your butt or something? I'm still on my first cuppa coffee. I'm a slowpoke. I don't like to rush. Well, its back to work for today and tomorrow. Then off until next Monday. I needs to be going for now. Well, how about this! I finally got in here lol. I have been coming in and posting my little posts and then trying to get in to say hi, only to be told that it was a broken link. Hmmm, strange that I got emails from this thread; but, whatever lol. Goodness, but it sounds like everyone has been having a fantastic time this past week! So much happy in one place is delicious! lol. It has been really cold here this past month; but, it looks like it is warming a little. It actually got up to 18 degrees (that would be -8 degrees celsius) yesterday! It is supposed to go back into the minuses but at least we got a bit of a reprieve lol. After getting down to 32 below (-36 C) this truly feels like a heatwave lol. Mist, I can't wait to see a pix of that tiger... hopefully with Mr B sitting/standing/bapping it rofl. I hope you are having a great time with them both! Damian, if you got any happier, you would be floating above us all lol. It is sooo good to see you so happy! I will keep good energy going for you that you find a new home soon! Celtie, if you got to see that iceberg, I hope you got pictures! I am so glad your visit went well with your daughter, son in law and grandson! So cool! We called our son, but he was so tired that we didn't keep him. His working hours have really been something lately; and he is still taking classes for his degree as well as going to martial arts classes every night. I vaguely remember being that young and having that much energy... key word here is vaguely lol Now, as for R names for girls... hmmm, How about: Rowan (of course! - It's a derivative of Rowena as far as names go... I just like the tree so Rowan is good lol), Rachel, Robyn, Ruby, Rhonda, Rowena, Rose, Roselyn, Rosemary, Rosemarie, Rebecca, Ruth, Ruthann, Roseanne (in various spellings ;-), Roberta, Raylynn, RaeAnn, Raia, Raine, Raya, Rayne, Rhiannon, Regina (Regena), Riley, Reina, Renate, Reva, Rita, Roxy, Rosalie... I can't think of any more at the moment, but I know I will after I post this lol. Anyway, my phone keeps ringing off the hook today so I best get going before I lose this post. I hope you all have a fantastic rest of the day. Oh, btw: I put up a new topic of the month... remember, it is under the Candle Shrine on the sideboard. I know it is early, but I didn't want to forget what I was thinking so I just went ahead and put it up a couple of days early lol. Good morning everyone! It's going to be another beautiful day - nice and warm. Temps will be up close to 80. It got up in the mid 70's yesterday afternoon, so I took advantage of it and sat out on the porch talking with the lady next door. I could live with this kind of weather ALL the time! LOL! Not sure what I'm going to do today, but I'm sure I'll figure out something! Celtie - Oh! I hope you got pictures of all the ice piled up in the lake! That had to be interesting! As for girl names - well - Rowan took all the ones I was thinking of! LOL! It's so good you'll have some days to rest! My housework is done early because I'm up at 3:00 AM nearly every day. Michael has to be at work at 5:00, so the alarm goes off at 3. Once I hear that, I'm up! So, might as well put the time to good use! Since there's just me and Michael (and of course, Mr Boofuss!), we don't make too much of a mess, so it doesn't take me any time at all to get things straightened up around here. At that time in the morning, I have some energy, so might as well use it wisely. LOL! Besides all that, I truly dislike housework! So, I get it done and out of the way. Then, I have the rest of the day to do whatever I want! But, when Michael's off, all housework is ignored. Rowan - I've been trying to get a picture of Bennie (the tiger) with Mr Boofuss. Well, I may not drink Champagne anymore, but I can still toast to you all with a little tag lol. I sure hope everyone has a wonderful, and safe, New Years Eve and a beautiful beginning to the new year 2009! Can you believe how fast this year went???? WOW! Anyway, I am just popping in for a minute to say hi. Mist, you are having 70 degree weather and we have three feet of snow roflmbo! Hubby tried to make it in to work today and while he was plowing a path with the hood of the car (yep, that high in places), his boss called to tell him to stay home as another guy who lives out this way ended up in a ditch. Now, we have done that before, but with as cold as it is, and as there is no traffic in this area, it is easy to freeze before anyone knows you are stuck. And people tend to go off in a dead zone (cell phone wise) so he ended up turning around and coming home. He had to work hard to get the car back in the garage as just that little time away made everything pile up again. And then the sheriff plowed the roads; (he is also the sewer and water guy, etc... yep, little town lol) so we had about four feet of snow piled up in front of our driveway and hubby spent a pretty big chunk of the day just shoveling and really complaining about that dumb guy who caused the pile... At least he got his anger burned off out there! lol. Speaking of hubby, he just came downstairs to tell me his puter was making him crazy and he wants us to watch a movie lol... Happy New Year's Eve! It'll be another beautiful day, although somewhat cooler. Temps only in the 50's instead of near 80. LOL! Monica, Kyle & David will be over later on. I don't know how long they're going to stay. I doubt if we'll stay up to see in the new year, and they probably have a party to go to. Kyle wants to stay here with us, so we'll see what happens. Otherwise, I have absolutely nothing planned for today! Rowan - I was telling Michael about your hubby's using the car to plow the snow. LOL! Michael said - what? It's that deep? He also said that you can keep the biggest part, but could you send down a couple of inches on Tuesday? That's his birthday, and he always asks for snow. You know what's so strange? He always gets it! There may not be any accumulation, but we'll see snow coming down at some point during the day or evening. Angel - Happy New Year, Hun! Love you!
