Color of the day: Yellow

Today is the Old European feast of the Triple Goddess. This holiday marks her transformation from virgin to mother. It is an auspicious time now to hold rites of passage, such as womanhood ceremonies for girls becoming women or baby showers for expectant mothers. Honor the mother Goddess by decorating the table with big red candles, the color of womanhood. Serve a feast of comfort foods such as home-made fresh-baked bread, stewed chicken, and apple pie. Before people start eating, offer this toast:
Virgin to mother she passes,
Good Pagan folk raise glasses.
Make a toast to the newcomer,
Goddess of birth and of summer.
From her breasts flow milk and honey;
She makes life sweet and days sunny.
Hail,
Hail to the divine Mother!
Before her stands no other!
Clink glasses together, drink, and commence the feasting.
