A Spell for Standing Strong

There are times we need to stand our ground鈥攅ven though all we really want to do is run away from a situation that we find difficult to confront. We feel we are being threatened and thrown off balance. This spell is for reestablishing your power and equilibrium and overcoming fear. Find a tall staff in the woods and spray paint it a glittering gold to represent strength and courage (in a pinch an old broomstick will do). Wrap it in ivy vine to promote overcoming obstacles and to break down self imposed barriers. As the Sun reaches its zenith, place your golden staff before you, firmly planted in the ground, and state:
By my will and by my right,
I will stand strong,
Prepared to fight
Against my fear
And not take flight.
I鈥檒l shift from shadow
Into light.
Raise your staff to the sky.
