dangerously intoxicated
by Centrum 50+ and
a cranberry juice shooter
I commit
old folk’s pharming
and pop a Tramacet

my biggest decision of the morning
is whether or not to
chase it all down
with 3 hour old
coffee

hey, thanks wrongside
originally intended to be writing under (the) influence but 'woman' works just as well.

had a suggestion to improve the last stanza

lol Pete.. merci beaucoup!

susan,  dangerous, yes! (in a wonky sort of way)
however, the alternative is rather painful  and I have a low tolerance! thanks for your reply

Is Tramacet akin to Fioricet, which causes the symptoms it relieves?  My daughter was prescribed the latter for her headaches, and, when she went to a DO for realignment of her back, she said, "Dear, you have facial asymetry, not only one hip higher than the other."  Fixed her back, slowly turned around her head, touching her cheekbones, temples, and no more headaches after a few years on meds.

Katone knows all about chasing the dragon.  I can only say this is a poppy wake-up call to an alarming state of coffee blues.  Add cold milk and sugar to your cold coffee and enjoy it!  Why suffer early in the morning?
