case study, "little J" I was in middle school, the first time, "I got sent to the shrink". A direct result of having wielded a desk over my head with, the intention of smashing it into the skull of a fellow classmate. I vaguely remember the reason for this act of self-defense having do with defending the honor of my mother, after said classmate "hurled" first, a particularly inappropriate " you so...you'd fuck yo own mama" insult.
It was one of those things that the school psychologist tells you to interpret. "what does this image mean to you"? I say to him, "It depicts a boy stabbing a man, (possibly an authority figure) to death, with an empty chapstick tube" Then I proceeded to gallop around his office, neighing like a horse.
Dear Madam: ..."I regret to inform you that your son is emotionally, mentally, morally and spiritually disturbed"...
Of course I never told the shrink the truth about the motivation for my actions, lest I be diagnosed with an Oedipus complex. |
