Anderson, the last line in this stanza rings too loud a bell -- my mind 'will do the walking,' but I wonder if you have posted this elsewhere or used the line under a different name or poem at some point.
And... Have you read about the 'reversed' cross? The Peace sign, the upside-down cross, also known as the 'broken cross?'
No. One should not care (yet how to help it). It looks like one has one's own cross to carry. This piece suggests the writer's may be 'ire.' There's wit in this, and some loose thoughts I like, including the last line in this stanza.
